Bhavana Surf House is perfectly suited for relaxation, pool chill-outs, stretching, movie nights, music sessions, and above all, plenty of laughter. The house consists of the ground level, first floor, second floor, and roof area. The ground level features one room with two beds, big room with 4 wooden bunk beds, a pool with stretching and chill-out area, and bathroom (toilet, bathtub, and shower).
The second floor consists of one room with a king-size bed, small balcony, huge open terrace, as well as bathroom (toilet, bathtub, and shower). The first floor features a big living room, shared kitchen, one room with two beds, outside big patio terrace with table and chairs (great for eating outside), as well as a bathroom (toilet, bathtub, and shower). Meanwhile, the roof area has an open-air lounge place, ideal for surf check and stargazing.
Program
During this camp, you will be given 5 days of surfing courses delivered by qualified instructors. On the surf course day, you will be picked up from where you are staying and choose the proper surf gear (surfboard, wetsuit, etc.). Afterward, you will drive to the beach. During the course, you will acquire the basics of surfing theory, such as understanding the ocean, wave conditions, and safety in the water. You will also do theoretical surf exercises.
After the entertaining warm-up, you will have a lot of practical activities arranged for you. Therefore, the majority of your surfing lessons time will be spent practicing in the water. Your surf instructors will be in the water with you pointing the best waves, helping you catch them, and giving feedback to help you improve your surfing technique. After your surfing lessons, you will be brought back to your accommodation. Aside from the surfing courses, you will also have an opportunity to watch surfing movies, make use of long skates for free, and also SUP for one hour at the Corralejo lagoon in front of Kailua Surf School.
Location
During your surf camp, you will be staying at Bhavana Surf House. The house is located across the street from beautiful designed shopping center, where you can find a supermarket, local bars and cafes with Wi-Fi, restaurants, shops, weekly weekend stalls with local arts and herbs, and live music acts. If you wish to catch a bus, you can go to the beach or stroll into the city center. You just need to walk for 5 minutes.
Staying in the house will allow you to go surfing in front of Kailua Surf School. The surf school is located in the northern part of Fuerteventura, in Corralejo. Fuerteventura is a Canary Island famous for its 150-kilometer sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and natural landscapes. The northern part of Fuerteventura is one of the most beautiful and suitable areas for surfing. In the north, you can find surf spots for all levels of surfers, from constant beginner-friendly waves to challenging point break waves with tubes for advanced surfers.
Corralejo is a town and resort located on the north east tip of Fuerteventura, facing the small island of Lobos. At approximately 2 miles (3.2 kilometers), it is the largest holiday resort in Fuerteventura. Corralejo remains a traditional fishing village, but there are also many new buildings and hotels behind and beside it. Corralejo has managed to retain its original charm and atmosphere, and there are still white sandy beaches in the town center where you can drop down and soak up the Canarian sunshine. It is easy to reach all the best surf spots in the north from Corralejo.
Corralejo is surrounded with most impressive beautiful beaches in the whole Europe. There are 2 small sandy beaches in the town, which is usually very crowded. The most impressive beaches are situated just south of Corralejo at the Parque Natural de Corralejo. The name of the beach is Grandes Playas and it is a long sandy beach with turquoise clean water and big sand dunes. It is a lonely beach, but walking along it, you can find some naturist walking.
Food
Meals are not included in this package so you can make use of the kitchen. Additionally, you can choose to go outside since Corralejo offers plenty of restaurants. There are over a 100 restaurants in the resort which cater for pretty much every cuisine on the planet. So, whether its Chinese, Italian, Tipico Canario, Indian, British, or Irish cuisine, you will be spoiled and never be too far away from the traditional Sunday lunch. The best restaurants are mainly situated in the Corralejo bay, facing the ocean and Lobos Island. In general, a meal for four persons including drinks will cost around 50 EUR.
