Learn how to surf in one of the best places in Europe with the most beautiful beaches and waves. Go with one of the most experienced and professional schools in the Algarve to where the best waves are, and experience all the thrill and emotion that the Portuguese coast can offer.
The villa has two floors and allows a maximum occupation of eight people. In the downstairs, there are three bedrooms; two of them with a bunk bed and two bathrooms. There is also a toilet upstairs and also free Wi-Fi in all the house and cable-TV in the spacious living room. Outside, there are several balconies with hammocks and puffs where you can relax after a surfing day or just chill out with a nice bottle of Portuguese wine.
You start the morning with breakfast at 08:30, then the pick up is at around 09:15. Afterward, you go to the beach, have a surf session in the morning, lunch break, and a surf session in the afternoon. Then, you come back to the surf camp around 17:00 and around 17:30, you will have the yoga session that will be about stretching and relaxing your body from the surfing. Jho'la Surf Camp's yoga teachers are specialized in different types of yoga and also sound healing. They adopt the yoga style to the people participating and of course the energy available.
Gustavo was the 2001 Portuguese national surf champion. He has been a surf coach by the Portuguese Surf Federation (FPS) since 1998, a managing partner, and founder of Future Surfing School in 1998. He is a responsible surf coach for the advanced and competition classes.
Ricardo is a surf coach by the Portuguese Surf Federation (FPS) since 1996, managing partner of Future Surfing School since 2005, polyvalent surf coach, and mainly responsible for the surf school internal surf coaches training, founder member of the APTS (Portuguese Surf Coaches Association), and lifesaver from the Portuguese Red Cross and the Life Saving Club Great Britain.
Eduardo (Edu) is a surf coach by the FSS since 2008 and by the Academy of Surfing Instructors (ASI) since 2013, long time lifesaver by the ISN, lifesaver by the Surf Life Saving Club Great Britain, and polyvalent surf coach.
Maria has a deep connection with the ocean. She has a degree in marine biology but never really ventured into the wild surf experience. What she comes to offer you at the surf camp are yoga classes and massage sessions. She has studied extensively with amazing and inspiring teachers, a bit all over the place. She travels every year to India to practice and get new inspiration.
The surf camp is located in Vila da Luz right next to the city of Lagos in the Algarve. Everything is within walking distance, two minutes to the beach, two minutes to the nearest bars and restaurants, and five minutes to the supermarket and pharmacy.

Daily breakfast, five lunch snack-pack, and three dinners are included in the price. For the food, Jho'la Surf Camp provides traditional Portuguese delicacies for the best dining experience in Portugal. Jho'la Surf Camp will also provide a vegan and gluten-free or vegetarian diet possible for a little extra charge. Please be sure to tell it in advance if you have any food allergies or intolerance.
Jho'la Surf Camp can arrange a deep tissue treatment and myofascial release massage sessions during your spare time at an extra cost.

Please book your flight to arrive at Faro Airport (FAO).
From Faro, you can either take the train or the bus to Lagos and then take the local bus to Luz for about ten minutes driving. If you prefer, you can also ask Jho'la Surf Camp for the airport transfers which, however, take an extra charge. It will take about an hour drive away from Faro Airport to Luz.
Apart from Faro, you can get cheap flights to Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS) and Seville Airport (SVQ), both of which are approximately 300 kilometers away.
