The tour will have to start on specific days: arriving in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday, leaving from Cape Town the following Friday. Surf breaks are all of competent level and easy accessible and user friendly. Surfing levels catered for is from competent to experience. Surf guide is a certified surf coach so surfing levels will improve throughout the tour.
Sample daily itinerary
Day 1: Arrival - Jeffreys Bay
Guide will collect you from Port Elizabeth Airport. Then, you will be transferred to Jeffreys Bay, and check in at the accommodation. Afterward, there is an orientation tour of town and afternoon surf. You will be staying overnight in Jeffreys Bay.
Day 2: Jeffreys Bay
You will be going for full-day surfing at one of the many surf breaks in Jeffreys Bay today. Surf guide will guide you to the best break on the day in Jeffreys Bay. You will be staying overnight in Jeffreys Bay.
Day 3: Jeffreys Bay
You will be going for a morning surf at the best break in Jeffreys Bay and then enjoy a local game park (safari) in the afternoon. You will be staying overnight in Jeffreys Bay.
Day 4: Cape St. Francis
After breakfast, you will drive for 30 minutes to Seal Point. The fun right hand point and beach break is world class. Your morning and afternoon surf will be at Seal Point. Today, you will be staying at Seal Point. A braai dinner will be served in the evening.
Day 5: Cape St. Francis
Today, you will go on a full-day surfing at Seal Point and beach break. You will be going for a tour of St. Francis Bay and the unique canal system and Calamari harbor. You will also see the iconic Bruce’s Beauties (if lucky even a surf at this mythic wave). Today, you will be staying at Seal Point.
Day 6: Victoria Bay
There will be a dawn surf at Seal Point, then there is breakfast and drive via Garden Route to Victoria Bay. You will be stopping along the way at the BloukransBungy Bridge and Knysna. Afternoon session will take place at Victoria Bay and stay overnight at Victoria Bay. For dinner, evening braai will be provided.
Day 7: Mossel Bay
There is a dawn surf at Victoria Bay, and after breakfast, drive for 30 minutes to Mossel Bay. Lunch time and afternoon surf will be at Inner Pool or Outers. You will visit the Cape St. Blaze Cave and the site where the first Europeans landed in Southern Africa. You will sleep at Mossel Bay.
Day 8: Winelands
Early surf will take place at Mossell Bay, and after breakfast, drive for three hours and a half to Franschoek. Enter Franschoek via the spectacular Franschoek pass, and enjoy a walk around the historic town. There is an afternoon visit to Winelands and enjoy wine tasting. You will sleep at Winelands.
Day 9: Cape Town
After breakfast, drive to Cape Point via Simons Town. Visit Cape Point National Park where the two oceans meet and then drive to the city via the scenic Chapmans Peak drive. You will visit city bowl and waterfront. You will stay overnight in Cape Town.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, guide will transfer you to Cape Town airport.
Please note, all the surf instructors/guides are SSA qualified and Etienne is ISA-instructors level 2. Children under 4 years old come free of charge (accommodation only). Surfers of all ages welcome. Jeffreys Bay Surf School will be happy to arrange customized packages on request. Limit a tour to maximum of four surfers per tour. This is for the crowd factor and for maximum enjoyment of the whole group. You can take extra non-surfers (wives/girlfriends).
