Isla Marisol Resort hosts 35 guests in 12 cozy beach cabanas and two sizable oceanfront reef houses. The accommodations are comfortable, equipped with hot and cold fresh water for bathing, and include daily housekeeping. Electricity (110 Volts) is available around-the-clock. Air conditioning is available upon request. There are no phones, televisions, or Wi-Fi in the rooms.
Beach cabanas can accommodate two people. The 12 rustic beach cabanas sit on stilts above the sand, each with a private en-suite bathroom, hot and cold fresh water for bathing, and a veranda with a hammock and chairs.
Oceanfront reef houses can accommodate four to six people. Standing tall along the oceanfront are two reef houses boasting spectacular 180-degree views from 36-foot private verandas high above the sea. Perfect for daytime sunbathing and nighttime stargazing, these homes include a living room with a wet bar and sofa bed, two bedrooms, and two oversized bathrooms with enough space to comfortably accommodate four to six people. Reef houses are perfect for families, couples traveling together, groups of friends, and anyone seeking a little extra privacy.
Explore Glover’s Reef Marine Reserve atop a kayak or paddleboard. Isla Marisol Resort welcomes all paddlers, whether novice or experienced, to explore above and below the sea. Two guided local paddle trips are scheduled each day to explore different parts of Glover’s Reef Atoll. Paddlers can also set out on their own and enjoy free use of a small fleet of single and tandem kayaks and paddle boards for use inside the lagoon and around the island.

Getting to Isla Marisol Resort from Belize City is not difficult. The most convenient way to reach Dangriga from Belize City is by plane. The 20-minute commuter flight offers spectacular views of the Belizean coastline. Both Maya Island Air and Tropic Air fly to Dangriga. Isla Marisol Resort coordinates transportation from the Dangriga airstrip to the boat at Gra Gra Lagoon, approximately 10 minutes across town. Air travel is not included in packages; however, you can arrange domestic air travel through the Isla Marisol Resort reservation office.
The boat ride from Gra Gra Lagoon to Isla Marisol Resort is 36 miles by sea, which takes approximately one and a half hours, depending on local weather and ocean conditions. The boat is scheduled to depart at 3 p.m., though some flexibility is required to accommodate all travelers. Luggage travels to Isla Marisol Resort in the boat and there is no access to luggage once it is stowed. A small bag with important items is allowed as a carry on during the trip.
