Join International Surf School for a wonderful surf experience in Sagres! In this surf camp, you will learn not only to stand on the board but also to actually surf like you have always wanted to. From standing up to turning, your certified and experienced surf teachers will guide you through the first steps and give you individual feedback according to your personal level, making sure to maximize your surfing skill improvements.
The surf house went through a major renovation in 2014 in order to improve your comfort and wellbeing. International Surf School has five rooms (two to three beds), three bathrooms, a common area leading to the terrace, two fully equipped kitchens, and three terraces including a chill-out zone for the tired surfers, barbecue area for the hungry ones, and the breakfast terrace for people who like to enjoy the beginning of the day with some fresh air.
The aim is not just to make you stand on the board. International Surf School will teach you to surf. All the surf teachers are certified and very experienced in teaching students from absolute beginners to advanced surfers. They are enthusiastic, patient, and will always try to give you individual feedback according to your personal surfing skill. They will lead you through the first steps on how to stand up on a surfboard, teach you to turn, and correct individual mistakes that you, eventually, will make as well.
The beginner lessons are happening every day. Advanced level lessons happen, usually, from Monday to Friday. Usually, you leave the surf house around 09:30 and come back around 16:30 but if needed, International Surf School might adapt the schedule to the best surf conditions.
The surf lessons last approximately three hours a day, and, in order to maximize your surfing skill improvements, International Surf School will always try to split into two one and a half hour sessions. Most of the times, the surf lessons take place on wild beaches with no infrastructure so do not forget your lunch box, some water, and sun protection.
