During this retreat, you will be staying at Indigo Yoga Resort in Costa Rica. The resort is nestled in a lushly green setting, along with an abundance of beautiful tropical flowers, trees, and native wildlife. You will enjoy watching the howler and capuchin monkeys hanging on the trees, as well as the large variety of tropical birds. The resort is also blessed to be close to some amazing points, reefs, and three beach breaks all within walking distance or a short driving distance.
The accommodation available for this retreat is on a single and double occupancy basis in the junior suites. Each room is air-conditioned and equipped with safe box, ceiling fan, hot water, Wi-Fi access, table, plus an access to the pool. Some of the junior suites are furnished with one queen-sized bed for two guests, whereas other with double bed plus one single bed. Moreover, you may also request for an upgrade to the Monkey Apartment.

This canopy tour is based in the quiet seaside village of Mal Pais, located at the entrance of Cabo Blanco nature reserve. This whole area is covered in tropical rainforest, the canopy ride is nearly a kilometer long and has seven platforms set high on the trees. Please book your flight to arrive at San Jose International Airport (SJC) or Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR). The best option is to arrive at Tambor Airport (TMU) by boarding Sansa Airlines or Nature Air. Also, the airport is an hour drive from Mal Pais.

If you plan to arrive by car, even though there have been a lot of improvements lately. Some of the roads are still not tarred and famous for their potholes. You are recommended to travel in a 4×4 vehicle to be worry-free of the Costa Rican roads. The possible car rental includes Alamo and Budget. Take the highway No.1 Interamericana and drive northwest for about two hours in the direction of Puntarenas. It is one of the biggest towns outside the Central Valley, there should not be any problem finding it. From there you can take a ferry to Paquera, which is situated on the Nicoya peninsula. During high season, the ferry leaves for Paquera about every two hours.
Once you are on the ferry, you can enjoy the sun and scenery for about an hour and 15 minutes to arrive Mal Pais. Normally, the ferry also offers little snacks and drinks during the passage. After arriving at Mal Pais, you will need to take a ride to Indigo Yoga Resort. The car ride and driver fare costs are around 8500 CRC, which is about 17 USD. For every additional person, it costs about 810 CRC (1.40 USD).
To arrive at the destination, take the road to Playa Tambor and continue straight to Cobano. From Cobano, follow the road until you arrive at Playa El Carmen. On the right-hand side, you will see a big sign “Frank’s Place”. This is the intersection that divides Playas El Carmen and Santa Teresa in the north from Mal Pais in the south. To get to Indigo Yoga Resort, turn left at this intersection and follow the road for a slightly more than five minutes until you see the Indigo Yoga Resort entrance and a coffee shop on your left.

From San Jose, you will have to find the bus station of Puntarenas. Since the bus stations are located at various destinations and in different areas of the town, please ask for directions when you are there. The bus fare to Puntarenas is about 1800 CRC, which is around 3.20 USD. You will be traveling for about two and a half hours until you arrive at the bus station in Paquera. Then, hire a taxi to the ferry port which costs about 810 CRC per person.
Once you arrive at Paquera, you can either hire a taxi to Mal Pais that costs about 90 dollars or take the bus to El Carmen. From there you can catch a local taxi to Indigo Yoga Resort.
