The camp is small and this means it feels personal. The staff are friendly on camp, and the surf lessons are very good. The food is healthy and tasty.

Povoa de Varzim is a lovely place. Lots of small resteraunts where you can have tasty portugese food for low money. It is very easy to reach from the airport of Porto. It is the last station of the Metro B. My accomodation was Reve D Or which is run by a nice french guy. The hotel had a small Garden which we could use to have a small party on our last day. There is fridge available as well.

"Active holidays in Portugal."
This was my first time surfing, so I honestly did not know what to expect. However, it was one of my more memorable vacations so far. After 2 hours of surfing lessons and 2 hours of practicing, you will have more than enough activities for a day. After 8 days you will not become surfing experts, but you will learn enough to surf by yourself. Povoa de Varzim is a nice town on the seashore with a good transportation to the Porto (45 min by "metro"). It is quiet during the low season but I was assured it gets busy during summer. It has nice clubs, restaurants and bars which are reasonably priced. The guys at surf camp are cool and professional, and they will look at you more like to a friend than a client. Jorge, Conor, and Clement - thank you for these memorable moments and hope to see you again.
