- Los Frailes National Park is a natural beach that is recognized as one of the most beautiful beaches in Ecuador.
- Salango Island is a huge natural island located next to the beach with many different snorkeling spots to choose from. From June to October you might even have a chance to see whales

Alcides Guerrero
Alcides Guerrero is the owner of the Sumpa Hotel. His passion for surfing turned this place into his dream of having a house and then a hotel for people who love the sea and surf.
Location
Hotel Sumpa is located on the outskirts of the town of Montañita, on the Ecuadorian coast, on the Pacific Ocean, a few meters from the most beautiful beach with a good beach break and close to the La Punta de Montañita point break for surfing. The town of Montañita is a 5-minute walk away where you will find different restaurants and bars. The Hotel Sumpa has a "Sweet Spot" cafeteria, the hotel is located next to a large supermarket (TIA).
In Manglaralto, a neighboring town 3 km away, we have a good public hospital. Less than a kilometer away we have the most beautiful viewpoint of the northern beaches of the coast.
