Danta Room

The Danta Room features a queen bed and one single bed with a pull-out mattress underneath. It's perfect for families with kids. The room also features a TV, air conditioning, and fans. The bathroom is private and only available to the guests of the Danta Room but is not directly attached to the room, it is just a few steps away from the room door, outside in the hallway. All rooms have their own bathroom so no other guest will use this bathroom. The room also features an outdoor lounge and dining court, relaxing garden area, and free Wi-Fi.

Lapa Room

Lapa Room is one of Hotel Inn Jimenez's biggest rooms. It features a queen bed and two small trundle bed mattresses for children aged 0 to 12 years, and en-suite private bathroom. Thus, the room is suitable for a family of 2 adults and maximum 2 kids. The room is not suitable for more adults. How to get there

Recommended Airports

Driving directions from San José

  • Take Highway 2 to San Isidro.
  • Turn right to get on the Dominical Highway.
  • At the end of Dominical Highway, turn left onto the Costanera Highway.
  • Drive through Dominical and Uvita.
  • Take the exit for the Pan-American Highway at Palmar Norte.
  • At Chacarita (best place to gas up as needed), you will see signs for Puerto Jiménez.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO).

Once you have arrived in San José, the capital of Costa Rica, you will need to take another (short) flight on a domestic airline. Choose either Nature Air or Sansa Airlines, or Alfa Romeo Air, the premier charter airline to reach Puerto Jiménez.

To avoid an overnight stay in San José, plan to arrive before 12:00 noon and depart on a local flight the same day. If you do prefer to spend some time in San José, Hotel Inn Jimenez will be happy to suggest hotel reservations. Please give Hotel Inn Jimenez your flight and arrival information when you make your reservation with Hotel Inn Jimenez.

Arrival by bus

Buses leave daily from San José and pass through San Isidro de El General where passengers can also get on. Bus 699 leaves from San José at 06:00 and 12:00, taking about 10 hours to reach Puerto Jiménez. Bus 612 to Golfito can also be taken, which takes about 8 hours and leaves at 07:00 and 15:00.

Arrival by ferry / boat

Water taxis (speedboats) take about 30 minutes and cost around 6 USD. The passenger ferry from Golfito to Puerto Jiménez takes about an hour and a half and runs twice daily. The schedule is random and subject to change. The cost is 2 USD. There are also fast ferries available that can do the trip in about 30 minutes, the cost is 6 USD. As of January 2014, the posted fast ferry schedule is as follows. From Puerto Jiménez to Golfito, there are fast ferries at 06:00 (2 boats), 11:30, and 14:00. There are return ferries at 10:00, 11:30, 13:00, and 15:15.
