Hooked Surf School offers you a 7-day surf camp with some of the best surfing conditions in Portugal such as Praia das Maçãs, Praia Grande or Pequena in Sintra, Guincho beach in Cascais, and beaches close to Lisbon in Carcavelos and Costa da Caparica. You can learn to surf in whichever beach that is suitable for your ability. So, come and taste one of the best beach breaks in Portugal!
You will stay at Hooked Surf's school apartment. It is situated in a small village between the foot of the Sintra mountains and Guincho beach with over 100 square meters. The high beamed wooden ceiling, stone, and wooden walls create an open but cozy atmosphere. The bright open plan kitchen or diner and the lounge space create the perfect social setting.
The apartment comfortably accommodates up to 5 people, with one main double bedroom off the living room, an open mezzanine single bedroom accessed by loft style stairs, and a separate large cozy corner with a double sofa bed. With south, north, and east facing balconies, there is always a quiet place to catch the sun or just unwind. The pool area is shared with the apartment below.
The courses will build up your confidence in the water and strengthen your ability. The more lessons you have the more your surfing skills will increase. You will learn elementary skills such as paddling, standing up on the surf board, important safety techniques, and being comfortable in the water.
This surf camp will take place in Lisbon District, Portugal. You will surf the beaches around Cascais and Sintra. The coastline between Cascais and Sintra boasts some of the best beaches in the world. A place where you can relax in the sun and forget about everything. There are gardens, houses, and palaces that can take you back to the past. There's also excellent restaurants that offer a wide choice of fish and seafood.
Cascais is a busy fishing village with winding cobbled lanes leading to small museums, gardens, marinas, boutiques, and fish restaurants. It's dotted with little sandy coves and golden beaches.
Sintra is a picturesque Portuguese town set amidst the pine tree covered hills of the Serra de Sintra. Three unique royal palaces, the Moorish Castle, and other grand and extravagant buildings are found within the beautiful city. A traditional tram line links Sintra to the surfing beach Praia da Macas and from here you can walk along the coast to the famous Praia Grande, a surf spot used for bodyboard competitions.
