Homegrown offers you a unique surfing experience in a safe and friendly environment. All equipment, surfboards, and wetsuits are of the best quality. Being a totally mobile surf school, Homegrown offers transportation in their surf vehicles (4X4 Land Rovers to get you off road) to a variety of the finest beach breaks of Fuerteventura.
With the 4X4 Land Rovers, you have the opportunity to go to six different beach breaks (Playa Cotillo, Playa Esquinzo, Playa de las Mujeres, Playa Tubaderas, Playa Morro, and Playa Blanca) and one reef break (Rocky Point).
The lessons are given for different levels:
- Beginners: Persons who have never been surfing (or have only one day of experience)
- Improvers: Persons who have been surfing but with less than two weeks of experience
- Intermediate: Persons with more than two weeks of surf experience
With the beginners and improvers, Homegrown will take you to go to beach breaks (so with a sandy bottom) and with the intermediate level, they will take you to go to ‘easy’ reef breaks and beach breaks.
Every day, Homegrown will make different groups depending on the level of the students and there will be a maximum of eight pupils per teacher. During the surf courses, Homegrown focuses a lot on giving individual corrections (as everybody makes different mistakes) and depending on your progress, you will change to another group (of course, if you come with a friend and you have a different level, you can choose whether or not to stay in the same group).
With the mobile surf school, you will go surfing on the east coast, west coast, and north coast of Fuerteventura; so for sure you will be surfing several surf spots and in the meanwhile, see something of the island.
Also, if you book for the surf camp pack, you can have free use of the surf equipment after the surf course (the surf equipment has to be taken from the surf shop which is opened every day from 10 a.m. till 10:30 p.m.).
Ready to learn how to catch your first waves? Here, everybody is a beginner, so there is nothing to be ashamed of. You will go surfing everyday and you will make daily progress in your surfing, so after this three days' course you will be a real surfer.
