Accommodation

High Flyers Tarifa is designed in shabby-chic Moroccan style with private rooms and a beautiful terrace to relax on. It is located in the old town, a stone’s throw away from all the cafes, bars, and restaurants. High Flyers Tarifa has six bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living or dining room, and a great rooftop terrace. There is a barbecue with views of Tarifa castle and port.

The best of all, it is in a fantastic location, seconds away from Tarifa’s best restaurants, cafes, and bars and have all the atmosphere of this historical old walled town at your fingertips. You will be sharing the house with the other High Flyers Tarifa’s guests which helps make a really friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Most people go home having made new friends.

Program

Is this for you?

  • You're a kitesurfer: You have been kiting for over a year, are independent and riding upwind in a variety of conditions, and now want to push on to the next level.
  • Stuck at a certain level?: So you ride ok, and can hold your own in varied conditions but you're struggling to break out and start doing the cool stuff you see other people doing? At this stage, a kitesurf camp with dedicated coaching and loads of general advice (and the encouragement of your new buddies on the camp) is just what you need!
  • Why kite on your own?: When you join this Ultimate Kiter's Camps, not only will you be receiving coaching from Kevin - one of Tarifa´s most experienced coaches, you will also be riding with other like-minded kiters. More fun than travelling and kiting on your own, right?

Note

These camps are NOT for people TRYING to become an independent kiter. If it transpires that your level is not good enough for the group you will have to take lessons at extra cost.

More info

High Flyers Tarifa have been running kitesurfing holidays and camps for all levels here in Tarifa since 2006! So Kevin knows just a little bit about the local conditions, best beaches, and coaching of kitesurfers of all abilities! He has been a kitesurf professional here all this time and is passionate about emparting his knowledge experience on to you guys!

Now they are back with the Ultimate Kiter's Camps, especially designed for kitesurfers who are looking for a hard-kiting week, to join up with like-minded kiters, to be taken to the best spots each day, receive top quality coaching and video analysis, and many other elements to make a memorable kite week in Tarifa.

You will be staying at High Flyers Kite House in Tarifa's historic old town. This is a shared guesthouse with a great ambience - with shared living room, kitchen and beautiful roof terrace - it's the perfect place for getting to know your new kite buddies. Bedrooms are either individual or doubles / twins - no big dormitories! They provide large, healthy self service breakfasts, and food for you to make up sandwiches for the beach.

You will go kiting at the best time each day for the wind (sometimes that will be in the morning, sometimes the afternoons.... you guys are kiters, you know the score) and stay as long as the majority of the group have the energy!

Included excursions

No wind, no problem: Wakeboarding session, surf, skate, SUP, and other crossover sessions to increase your board skills!

Location

The camp will take place in Tarifa, Andalusia, Spain. High Flyers Tarifa is at the southernmost tip of Spain and only 14 kilometers from Morocco. It is this proximity between the two continents that gives Tarifa its legendary number of windy days per year, due to the wind being squeezed between the two land masses through the straits of Gibraltar. Also being the very south of Spain, it is much warmer than the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Northern Europe.

So, come and visit High Flyers Tarifa and come be part of Europe´s legendary kitesurfing destination. Come to soak up the sun and experience the magical town of Tarifa. Tarifa is a small, laid-back town that attracts people from all parts of the globe. But despite this, it is still a traditional Andalusian town. Many come for Europe’s best kite and windsurfing conditions, and others simply to relax in some of the bars, cafes, and chill lounges.

In the summer months, the narrow streets really come alive both day and night, offering a wealth of culinary and cocktail delights, good live music, and an unbeatable party atmosphere. Throughout the year, this small town has a great community spirit, and you will instantly feel welcomed amongst friends.

Beaches in Tarifa

Right in the town and stretching for 10 kilometers west is the beautiful wide, open Los Lances beach. This is a perfect spot in Poniente winds. There are lots of space to learn and practice on the beach and in the water. If the wind is blowing Levante, you have many possibilities depending on the strength of the wind, including Valdevaqueros, Getares, and Palmones, all a short drive away.

There are other beaches further afield that can give you the chance to kite on days when the wind is too strong here in Tarifa. And because High Flyers Tarifa keeps the group small, they have the option to drive further distances and the flexibility to move if the wind is better somewhere else.
