The Giant’s Foot Surf Tours is an intimate Nicaragua surf camp on the beach in Gigante. There is a trickle of tourists, a few ex-pats, a few locals, and a lot of cows and pigs. Otherwise, it’s just you and other guests hanging out. The Nicaragua surf camp has six bedrooms, a large living room, small public bathroom, and kitchen / bar area, with a large outdoor common area for hanging out.

Most rooms are double occupancy with two beds. Every room is equipped with air conditioning, a fan, and a private bathroom. At normal full capacity, Giant’s Foot Surf Tours can accommodate 10 surfers, but even more with special arrangement.

Giant’s Foot Surf Tours has a bar on site, as well as a ping pong / beer pong table, foosball table, a massage table and masseuse available, and hammocks galore in which to relax and take in a gorgeous sunset after a hard day of surfing. There is Wi-Fi and a library of books, and board games available. People spend a lot of time on the beach and around the fire just hanging out.

Program

Giant’s Foot Surf Tours' intermediate package includes unlimited guided surf boat tours to the best Southern Nicaragua surf breaks. Giant’s Foot Surf Tours' surf guides and local knowledge will get you the best waves throughout the day. When you are not surfing, enjoy the culturally authentic small-town charm of Playa Gigante. With epic sunsets and exquisite beaches, you will want to come back time and time again.

You will be staying in a double occupancy room with air conditioner unit and private bathroom (and Giant’s Foot Surf Tours won’t room you up with anyone from outside your group), located directly on the beach at Playa Gigante. Giant’s Foot Surf Tours' boat will transport you to over 14 surf breaks, which is typically three boat trips per day, starting with dawn patrol. They will make sure you get your fill of the pristine Nicaraguan beaches and unforgettable waves before you leave.

This tour is truly all-inclusive. That means your meals, surf transportation (typically three boat trips per day), local beer, rum, sodas, and transfers to and from the camp are included. There are no hidden costs or tabs to run up. You just need to bring a little extra cash for souvenirs, ding repair, and tips for the guides. Last airport pick-up each day is no later than 15:00.

Surfing Nicaragua

Giant’s Foot Surf Tours knows the best tides and conditions for each spot so you get to surf the best waves around, every session. Surfing Nicaragua with Giants Foot Surf Tours means you will experience a variety of wave types and different breaks along the coast. With local knowledge, the surf guides will make your surf trip hassle-free by ensuring you are in the right place at the right time. With GFS’s beachfront location and experienced surf team, Giant’s Foot Surf Tours has mastered how to experience maximum fun with minimal crowds. Surfing Nicaragua’s Rivas province is Giant’s Foot Surf Tours' specialty.

Surf like a local with access to the best Nicaragua surf breaks

The boat is a short paddle away from the beachfront surf camp and this gives Giants Foot Surf Tours access to over 14 of the best Southern Nicaragua surf breaks. The head surf guide, Conrad, has been a surf guide for seven years, three of those here with GFS. He knows all local breaks better than anyone else in the area and knows how to read swell and weather conditions to make sure you are in the right spot at the right time. He is also a winter-hardened Manitoban fisherman and will help you catch a fish or two on your way back to camp.

Maximum wave time

Unlimited boat trips typically mean three full boat sessions per day. The staff will happily wake you up for dawn patrol with coffee and cereal ready. Giant’s Foot Surf Tours takes you out for sunrise surf so you can maximize your day’s surfing potential while everyone else is still sleeping. Bonus, Giant’s Foot Surf Tours will have a hot breakfast waiting for you when you return.

Waves for every season

Southern Nicaragua is perhaps the only place in the world where virtually year-round offshore winds and a wide swell window combine to produce consistently good waves - spring, summer, and fall.

Waves for every skill level

Giant’s Foot Surf Tours got world-class beach breaks minutes from the lodge, a great left point break around the corner and a huge left outer reef to test your courage. Beginner breaks are also close by for those with less experience.

Location

Giant’s Foot Surf Tours is located in a fairly isolated area near the Rancho Santana and Hacienda Iguana developments. They're 45 minutes from the nearest grocery store, so staying with them means that they do all the work for you. Getting there is easy! You can fly into Augusto C. Sandino International Airport (MGA) and Giant’s Foot Surf Tours will pick you up at the airport. Managua is about 2.5 hours from the camp.
