There is so much said and more to be read about kiteboarding in Brazil but a single word will suffice, superb! For the ultimate experience, avoid the hype and go with the pros. This 100 percent wind, 100 percent fun Brazilian surfari extravaganza will take you off the beaten track to new and undiscovered playgrounds. Whilst Brazil offers a plethora of conditions from packed lagoons to crazy multiple-day down winders, Flying Gecko Kiteboarding has chosen to follow the mantra “keep it simple and do not go with the majority!” This surfari delivers the best so forget the rest! The double-based event will introduce you to two distinctly different environments, an adventure filled with flat shallow water spots to new challenges of longboard waves for free-riders to enjoy at their leisure.
During this kitesurf camp, you will be staying at Hotel Vila Jardim on week one and Amagali Pousada on week two. Rooms will be available on double and single occupancy.
Located on the beach of Parajuru, the hotel offers peaceful chalets in a tropical garden. It features a pool with comfy sun loungers. Wi-Fi is available free of charge. The spacious, air-conditioned chalets at Hotel Vila Jardim feature a relaxing terrace with access to the garden. Comforts include a minibar, a TV, and a private bathroom.
The hotel is a five-minute walk from the village of Galinhos and enjoys an ideal location, opposite the sea, in the most protected part of the peninsula. On a plot of two hectares in the heart of an unspoiled coconut grove of 200 trees, the Amagali Pousada Hotel offers 21 apartments and chalets, built in 2010 right on the seafront.
There is free Wi-Fi throughout the site. From both the pool and rooms, the view of the bay is magnificent. The changing colors of the evening sunset are stunning and the night sky is both enchanting and memorable.
Warm wind and warm water allow the wetsuits to remain at home, a freedom which all boarders prefer, and along with 100 percent consistent wind, are certain to make the holiday one to remember. The exclusive adventure surfari designed with the thrill-seeker firmly in mind is limited to only 12 participants so be sure to book soon to avoid disappointment.
Parajaru days are filled with rolling out of bed, having an amazing breakfast and then into the flat water right outside your beach bungalow, followed by daily beach buggy rides to more flat water spots where only Flying Gecko knows. Then, onto more secret spots and perfectly paced down winders, sensibly all less than 40 minutes in duration.
Winds that traditionally deliver 16 knots from 9:00 a.m. and build to 22 knots during the day ensure that there can be loads of time spent on the water with eight to 12-meter kites decided by your body size, weight, and skill set. During your daily water workouts, the two-man guide team members are there to deliver a constant stream of free tips for tricks from which all levels can benefit.
There will be some video opportunities to help you focus on flaws and hype up the successes for your Facebook followers. Nights are filled with parties, barbecues, and “chill zone” moments. There will be plenty of your own time too.
Galinhos promises more of the same with plus four to five knots more wind. It is there that those who want will get the opportunity to get strapless and directional when experiencing kiting the gently rolling waves at the great longboard wave spot close to the hotel.
This kitesurf camp will take place in Parajuru and Galinhos, Brazil. One of the world's most captivating places, Brazil is a country of powdery white-sand beaches, verdant rainforests, and wild, rhythm-filled metropolises. Its consistent winds combined with lagoons of bath warm water create some of the best kitesurfing conditions on the planet in which the two destinations of the surfari arenas are stunning examples.
The diverse ecosystems boast the greatest collection of plant and animal species found anywhere on earth! There are countless places where you can spot iconic species in Brazil, including toucans, scarlet macaws, howler monkeys, capybaras, pink dolphins, sea turtles, and thousands of other species. Along with sumptuous food, all are available for you on the surfari in the western state of Rio Grande Do Norte.
During this kitesurf camp, breakfast will be provided daily. You will also get to enjoy four Brazilian barbecue nights. The food in Brazil is fabulous, an eclectic mix of exciting flavors with dishes like Coxinha to Moqueca or Carne de Sol, chorizo and yucca fries, and the breathtaking sunsets are not complete without an ice cold Caipirinha, Brazil’s national cocktail.
You can get out and explore the surroundings just in the way you like. If the idea grabs you, you can rent a longboard and go surfing too. You can avail a full-equipment rental for 600 EUR for two weeks and 60 EUR per day.
