Flag Beach Kitesurf Center offers good cross-shore (from the left) conditions from March and April through to August and September. It is generally wavier for the first couple of months with the remains of the winter swells, however from May onwards the waves disappear and flat slalom conditions prevail. Although the winter months statistically have less windy days at Flag Beach, there can be better locations within easy reach that have wind for the more advanced sailor.

Flag beach is in the north of Fuerteventura on the road driving out of Corralejo. The wind is predominantly cross-shore and Flag beach is the start of some six to seven kilometers of white sand, where there is about three kilometers for kitesurfing. The best months for kitesurfing are March to November. This is when the sea tends to be flat and the wind consistent. During the winter months, it can become too wavy and though it might be good on the occasional day it cannot be guaranteed. There is a team of excellent watersports instructors who not only sail, windsurf, surf, dive, and kitesurf but also speak six languages between them. You can also feel safe as rescue facilities are always at hand for any situation that might occur.
This surfing vacation will take place in Corralejo, Las Palmas, Spain. Sol Y Mar is an old town house converted into a hostel. It is clean and very centrally located and close to all local bars, cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets. Its is only five minutes walk from the bus station and five minutes from the ferry port. It is a great place for single travelers and has a good sociable, relaxed atmosphere.
Surfers Retreat is more a house than a hostel. Close to supermarket, shopping centre, bars, restaurants. It is only a 10-15-minute walk away from the main street and the center. This hostel has a very familiar atmosphere.
Daily breakfast with cereals (3 types), bread rolls, ham/cheese and butter/jam, yoghurt and orange juice, tea, and coffee.
Why not spend a day on a catamaran and discover the island of Lobos or sail across to Lanzarote for lunch. There is a Lagoon 38' catamaran and it will go to the island of Lobos and anchor in front of La Concha beach. There are snorkeling, canoeing and fishing gear on board or take a swim in the crystal clear waters. This four hour trip around the island finishes with a meal on board the boat. The Lagoon 38' is capable of carrying twelve passengers.
Another way of exploring the island on a bike tour through the volcanic landscapes on the latest, state of the art, power assisted mountain bikes. A strong but very quiet motor will make cycling up hills and against headwinds enjoyable. A must-do in Fuerteventura.
Fuerteventura is not solely know for water sports; with its desert landscapes, volcano, lava fields, and picturesque north shore what better way to experience this by taking an off road adventure on a quad bike. There are two excursions to suit everybody's needs whether looking for a short two hour trip or the full day with a stop over for lunch or a swim in Cotillo.
