    Positively Surfing vibes

CONS Cons: After being on more surfcamp I missed a crew person organizing stuff for the downtime. When requested much was possible, but when you are a bit tired it's sometimes great to be dragged along ^_^

PROS Pros: The crew and attendees where both amazing. Such nice and kind ppl. Next to the good quality of the lessons, Cesar's salsa lessons where a great extra at night. The tents where the best I've had so far!

"This was the second trip to Feral for me and the first trip for my sister. I had previously stayed here two years ago with my fiancé and we had a great time! So when my sister was planning a trip to France I insisted she had to make a stop at Feral. Shortly after my sister arrived in France she ran into some bad luck and soon I was on the next flight to France to help her out. We figured we should make the best out of a worst case scenario and luckily there was a last minute spot for me at Feral. When we arrived there, we were welcomed with open arms and cold beers."

"It was great to see Phil and Nell again, they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. It was great to meet Tom and Joanna. Tom is an excellent surf coach and although i never joined in (I was a little busy surfing all the time) my sister said Joanna put on a great yoga class. Will who is the chef is a genius with food! I always looked forward to the dinners and was never disappointed. As for the sleeping accommodations, I love camping so I'm not picky about what I sleep on but make sure you bring a sleeping bag, it can get a bit chilly at night. You will be so tired from all the surfing, beach going, lake trips, bike rides, wine tours and walks around Hourtin-Plage as soon as your head hits the pillow you'll be out like a light. I honestly love this place and the people behind it. Its an easy place to come too a hard place to leave. Can not wait to come back with my fiancé again next summer for our honeymoon."

"I cannot recommend this place enough. The tipis we stayed in were clean (until we had been in them!) dry and felt like home, the food was satisfying after a day getting beaten up by nature, the surf instruction was truly excellent, in small groups, accounting for each individual's skill and mood, but most of all, the people were a joy. The staff made you feel welcome and part of surf life instantly - there was no "fitter and slimmer and more tanned than thou" feeling from any of them - the way you can sometimes get from ski holidays for example. We felt so at home."

"The camp itself becomes home from the minute you're there. The staff are wonderful and Feral attracts the kind of people that you end up spending hours swapping stories with because, let's face it, surfers really are the best people in the world. You're welcomed with a bottle of water and pink loo roll in your tipi, which also has UK plug sockets a real bed and a light. Then once you've stashed your stuff away everyone eats together and hangs out in the evening either on site or at Chicken Lily's."

"I came to Feral not knowing what to expect, but whatever expectations I did have were surpassed. I was on a month long Euro trip with my best friend and this was by far our favorite spot. Unfortunately we only stayed at Feral for 4 days, but we made great memories and met a lot of awesome people. Neither of us had any surfing experience, but the coaches were really patient and helpful. I wouldn't say we are surfing pros now, but we learned a lot and had so much fun. Everyone who works at Feral tries so hard (and succeeds) at making sure you have an amazing experience. We loved all of the people we met and definitely want to go back next year. We are both from America and were told that Americans don't frequently go to Feral, but we highly recommend that you do! You may get made fun of a bit for your weird sayings and your American accent, but it is all in good fun! Regardless of where you come from, or your surfing experience, definitely check out Feral."

"Feral reminds you about what's important in life and for me has been an unforgettable experience. I have never written a trip advisor review before and probably never will again because, honestly I have better things to do with my time but this one had to be done."

"Despite going to Feral by myself, I immediately felt welcome from my arrival at the airport, where I was greeted and driven to the camp. All the staff were so lovely and welcoming and integrated so well with all the guests. There were families, couples and people of all ages, it is suitable for anyone who wants to relax or party, but most importantly have a week of great surfing. I felt so safe in the hands of the instructors, who were able to help with all abilities of surfing, not just beginners. The tents were really comfortable and I was impressed by the warm showers! The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Even when the surf conditions weren't ideal, there were plenty of other activities offered. Even just chilling in the hammocks was so lovely. At the end of my week, I didn't want to leave so book to stay for another! I have been to quite a few surf camps and this was by far one of the best, would recommend it to anyone."
