"FABULOUS place to learn how to surf!!"
The instructors were amazing, knowledgeable and supportive.! They were very helpful and thorough for every lesson. The location of the surf camp is unbeatable! It is a short walk to the beach where we had our surf lessons and located in the heart of the La Punta neighborhood which offers plenty amazing restaurants and bars. The hostel itself was comfy, clean, and had a relaxing atmosphere. Super cool building with plenty of places to lounge and a nice yoga studio on the top floor with views of the area. All the staff were very kind and always helpful, willing to answer any questions and provide recommendations!
Truly an amazing, 10/10 experience that I would most definitely do again! The most highly recommended place for anyone that's looking to learn how to surf and practice their Spanish!

"Very nice and safe"
Experiencia is really good and safe place
To be. Located next to police station with a lot of security cameras inside feels really secured. In general Brisas del Zicatela is safe and cute little place with a lot of restaurants, yoga studios and bars. This surf camp located very close to the beach but a bit off the Main Street which makes it more secluded. Facilities are great, they have nice kitchen with a couple fridges and wide terrace with hammocks. I stayed in twin shared room with another person, but i recommend to get private room with balcony if it’s available- in case you want more privacy. Dorm rooms doesn’t have their own bathroom, so if you stay in a dorm room your restroom will be on the first floor (common area) where all surfers are practicing. Surf Instructors are very professional and help you to improve your skills in a best way.

"So much fun!"
I loved the simplicity of the hostel. It was friendly, the staff were outstanding and the facilities were lovely and clean. The food question is irrelevant as the hostel I stayed at did not cater, however, the big open plan kitchen was a fun place to meet people and interact and well organized and always clean. Lots of lovely coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants within walking distance. Great location and my surf instructor was excellent.

"Nice place and fun surf lessons"
The kitchen and chill area is awesome. I had surf lessons with Juan, one of the older instructors, and I found him really great - if you listen and follow all his instructions you'll be up surfing independently in no time!

"A hidden gem"
I really was not expecting so much from this break - I booked last minute bombarding Alan with questions. He answered every one - really making the effort to address all my changes. He is a superstar. The location is amazing - right on the beach with the colours of the sunset every night. My instructor, Oliver was truly amazing: kind and thoughtful and helped me catch every wave. He really teaches you how to watch for the right wave and then celebrates when you do. I would recommend him highly. The last day we went for a surf adventure, to a beautiful, deserted beach with gorgeous waves and pelicans hanging out with you. Everyone at Experiencia makes such an effort that you can't help to have the best time. I nearly took my favourite board into my room to 'reserve' it - and after that every morning it was put out for me. Attention to detail!

"Great surf, excellent instructor."
Our instructor Miguel was brilliant. He made us feel very safe in the water and was super vigilant whilst also challenging us. I could barely stand up before this week and was catching most waves and even manouvering by the end! Thanks Miguel for your dedication and being super cool!
The rooms were also very clean with daily cleaning and a nice balcony and the yoga was great.

"Time of Your Life"
Honestly, we loved everything about this camp. The people, the classes, the location and the city itself. There is always something to do. Experiencia also has a bunch of activities that you can join in for free throughout the week on top of the surf and yoga classes. They can also organize for some tours for you and provide lots of suggestions. They made everything so simple for us.
The site is steps away from the beach. There is a bunch of small restaurants close by and lots of surf shops.
The staff and the guests are always willing to do activities, whether planned or spontaneous.
We definitely recommend Experiencia for your next trip to Puerto Escondido.

"Super chill surf and yoga retreat in a slice of heaven "
The people were awesome. Mauricio was honestly such a cool guy and everyone who works at Experienca (definitely spelt that wrong) is super friendly and accommodating. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are kept immaculately clean. I loved my surf instructors too - huge thanks to Jordi and Alberto and Tarzan too. It was really difficult to leave. I think it’s some of the best money I’ve ever spent. I’ll never forget my time there.

Open air. Breeze. Ocean noises. Birds chirping. Dogs barking. Life. 4 stories up in a rooftop balcony with the sun setting. Doing yoga.

"Amazing surf and relaxing experience"
The staff wasreally professional, so attentive to all my needs. The surfing is very good and the instructors know what they are doing, so happy and full of energy getting inside the water. In addition to this, the yoga aftersurf classes created a perfect atmosphere to chill and have an amazing week.
from United States, March 2019
The location is great. In the heart of La Punta, which is right by the beach, as well as many restaurants and shops. As well, there are always taxis around to take you to other areas in Puerto Escondido.
I also really like my surf instructor, Juan. He was an amazing teacher and I had an amazing time.
The yoga space was very nice and had a great view of the sunset during classes.
FYI - There is no food. It's a required option to rate, but there is no food offered, which was expected.
