Estela Surf and Hostel is a surf camp run by a local-friendly couple of local surfers. The house consists of 4 bedrooms of which 2 are shared and 2 are double. There are two single shared and one shared bathroom, plus a service toilet.

At your disposal, there are 2 equipped kitchens and one of them has a dining room with a very nice view of the garden, providing very relaxing and very quiet moments. Here, they serve breakfast. Estela Surf and Hostel also offers the opportunity to enjoy all their cuisine; from fresh fish, healthy snacks, and Portuguese cuisine made with the best local products and with great affection.

The reception, where you can get all the information you need during your stay at Estela Surf & Hostel, is in the Terrace Bar, where you can also always enjoy good wine, a cocktail, or snacks. The living room has a fireplace, TV, sofas, and is complete with a dining area.

Program

Surfing is a great way of being in contact with the ocean and getting fit whilst having fun. All sessions begin with a fun warm up. The instructors will take you to the best spot of the day according to your level and will help you to achieve your goals. They will analyse your improvements, correct your technique and share the knowledge about the ocean.

If you want to get started with this exciting sport or want to improve your skills, Estela Surf & Hostel will provide a nice atmosphere and guarantee you the maximum professionalism.

Additionally, you will get three days of yoga in the Estela Surf & Hostel garden or studio. Each yoga session will take about 60 minutes.

Yoga is known for its infinite benefits. Whether they’re physical; improving strength, flexibility, building a sweat, recovering from injuries, or more on a meditative level promoting calmness, stillness, and relaxation.

Sample daily schedule

  • 08:30 Complete breakfast before the surf
  • 09:00 - 13:00 Surf course (At one of our beaches, with the better conditions for learn to surf)
  • 14:00 Free time, lunch
  • 19:00 Yoga lessons 3 days per week - in the garden or in the yoga studio (5 minutes driving) depending on the weather
  • 20:30 Dinner, watch movies and photos from the surf lessons, or relax with the other guests

Location

From the beginner to the pro, the variety of surfing beaches in Estela, north of Portugal, will easily satisfy any level of surfing. The surf camp is located in the small and quiet village of Estela, close to beautiful white sandy beaches. The beaches of Estela and Aguçadoura, which are just a few minutes from the surf camp, are one of the most consistent beach breaks in Europe for surfing, where you can still surf with little crowd.

Food

Breakfast is the most important meal for an athlete, so that's why Estela Surf & Hostel includes the best local produce, natural juices, and more so you can start the day with good energy from a delicius continental breakfast.

All the delicious dishes are freshly prepared, using local fresh and natural products such as fish of the day, meat, and vegetables. A vegetarian diet is available on request.

To accompany, Estela Surf & Hostel serves the local wines, unique in flavors and of great quality. After a long day of surfing, the delicious smell of the kitchen will mark you forever.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 30% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
