Learn or improve your surfing with Escuela Marejada in the best spots in the zone. Enjoy surf learning with their teaching method, improved during 12 years in Spain, surrounded by white sand beaches, palm trees, hot water, and waves that last a minute. They will move you in their SUV searching the best conditions for your surfing level. In the school, they have boards for every level, from learners to pros. You can totally enjoy your week!
The maximum participants in the group is 12.
At Escuela Marejada, guests will have accommodation in two or three people bungalows, with private bathroom, terrace, free Wi-Fi, fan, and insect screen if needed. This surf camp is equipped with garden area, an area to keep all equipment, bureau, bar, and restaurant. There are also cleaning service 4 days a week and laundry service available for you.
Guests must respect sleeping hours of the rest of the hosts and respect each other. In case of discipline or aggressive behavior issues, Escuela Marejada reserves the right of expel the guets from their facilities, losing all the privilege and the amount paid to the camp.
Ricardo Fernández Palomeque
Ricardo Fernández Palomeque is a wide experienced and acknowledged surfer both in teaching and competition. He’s been twice silver medal and three times bronze medal in the European Championship. Also, he’s been 5 times Spanish Champion and twice runner-up, among many other surfing results. In addition, he has been teaching surf for the past 14 years.
This surf camp will take place at Escuela Marejada specifically located in Casamance region, in Cap Skirring, in the south of Senegal, between Gambia and Guinea Bissau. The beach is less than 10 minutes away walking.
With subtropical weather and huge beaches, the area is perfect for surfing, a sport unknown in the area, which waves are yet to be discovered, since there’s only two surfers in the region, of course, part of Escuela Marejada’s staff. The area has subtropical weather with plenty of native vegetation, fauna, and palm trees.
Cap Skirring, the bigger town in the area, is just over 2 kilometers away by road from the camp. There, you can find handmade products markets, food market, banks, lots of shops and restaurants, beside the airport.
You will have full board service during your stay. There are fixed menus and there aren’t options of dishes, although Escuela Marejada can adapt to special necessities, such as some allergies, coeliac, or lactose intolerance.
