Location

Tarifa is located in Andalucia, at the Southern tip of Spain, where the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic meet. The African continent lies only 14 kilometers away and can be reached by ferry directly. The Arabic influence reflects in the alleys and colorful flower-decorated courtyards. Mass tourism has never made it down there. The local inhabitants (16,000 people) support Escuela Hispalense's Spanish language programs.

Spanish is the only language for communicating with the locals because most of them do not speak any foreign languages. This small town became popular because of the variety of outdoor sports activities it offers, especially windsurfing and kitesurfing. Tarifa guarantees you the balance of a "work-and-play" holiday; in spite of the recent foreign influences, the traditions are still very much alive here.

Things to do (optional)

There is a special offer for the first contact with the diving sport: baptism. This is an accelerated five-hour course that will take place in one or a maximum of two days.
