One of the best options at Somo price-quality-proximity. It is located just 100 meters from the Cantabrian surf school and the beach. This is ideal for surfers and beach lovers. It has single, double, triple, and quadruple rooms, all equipped with private bathrooms, television, and Wi-Fi.
In front, there is a supermarket. You have all kinds of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops a few meters from the entrance to the hotel, a thousand places to eat rich and cheap, Cantabria Infinita.
The SurfHouse Somo is the first surf house in Somo. It is a stone castle that was formerly the pottery workshop of Somo and that is totally reformed. It was one of the last projects of the school, opened in 2007. It is located at the top of the village of Somo, just two minutes’ walk from the Cántabra Surf School and the beach of Somo. It has single, double, and triple rooms, all equipped with private bathrooms and Wi-Fi. They also have free parking.
From Surf House Somo, you will see one of the most magical and privileged sunsets with beautiful views over the whole bay of Santander, the capital of Cantabria while enjoying a cold beer after an intense day of surfing at school. Breakfast included.
During this surf camp, you will benefit from four-hour surfing lessons every day. All the surfing materials are included during the lessons and can be rented for the rest of the day.
Escuela Cantabra De Surf Quicksilver Roxy is the first surf school in Spain, with more than 27 years of experience. It is one of the most recognized and prestigious schools in Europe, driven by surfers who love surfing. This school is recognized by the Spanish surf federation.
The school organizes small groups of five to seven students per instructor. You get to learn to surf or improve your surfing with the most qualified, experienced, and safe instructors.
Surf lessons are available for all ages and levels. Instructors always separate the classes in a homogeneous way by age and level to ensure safety and proper learning. Thus, you take advantage of the classes to the fullest.
If you want to keep the surfing materials, there is no problem. There is a supplement of 10 EUR per person, per day that includes table and neoprene. The school has the best materials on the market and they renew them every year.
Escuela Cantabra De Surf has polyester and epoxy shortboards and longboards of all sizes, as well as softboards. There are more than 300 tables on the stock. You can also rent SUP, bodyboard, skate, longskate, and carvers. The school has changing rooms and showers, as well as a powerful surf shop with the latest in surfing and fashion.
During the months of July and August, classes are held at various times, namely 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The best hours to do the class is first thing in the morning (10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) and last in the afternoon (6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.), as this is when the sea conditions are better and there is less influx of people.
During the other months, you have classes in the morning from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
David García “Capi” is a former Spanish champion and free surfer and has been competing and traveling around the world for over 30 years. For the last 24 years, he has been focusing on teaching surfing. He wants to share his knowledge and love with the ocean with everyone, and let everyone know the magic of surfing experience.
Nachete is the deputy director of the Cantabrian Surf School. He has been surfing and competing since 1990. He is a superior surfing technician (Spanish Federation), a surfing technician level I and II (Cantabra Federation), a superior technician in aquatic rescue and in first aid (Spanish Federation), among others.

During this camp, you will stay in a tent at the school's camping facility located in an enclosed area very close to the school and the beach.
If you choose to stay at Surf House Somo, you will be served daily breakfast. Accommodation at the Surf Cabins does not provide meals.
The area offers a variety of activities, such as routes by the cliffs, tourism to know the cultural heritage, and hiking. From the city council of Ribamontán to the sea, there are animation and cultural celebrations every weekend.
