Ericeira Surf Camp is nested in the heart of Ericeira, a beautiful surfing/fishing village looking out to the Atlantic. It is famous for its beaches, excellent seafood, constant swells, and weekend parties during the summers. It is also known, as one of the four World Surfing Reserves. There are 20 world class spots within a short drive. If you want to learn surfing the waves and enjoy awesome views, this surf vacation package is for you.
You will stay at Ericeira Surf Camp surf house that is located at the pentagonal street of Ericeira. The hostel is in the main street of this village, 2 minutes walking to the beach, with restaurants and surf shops just next door. The place has 12 rooms. They have 9 rooms with private bathrooms, 3 rooms with shared bathrooms and a small chill out terrace on the top. It also has a lounge area with cable TV, surf movies, books, board games, and computers. They also offer free Wi-Fi. Their facilities provide a kitchen equipped with basic utilities to prepare your own meal. You will be provided with all bedding and linen and the rooms are spacious and meet the Tourist Accommodations Regulations Act.
As a beginner, this surf program will focus on the basics of surf as well as the jump to be independent and creative with the waves. You will be taught how to handle a board in water, position yourself in the sea and how to lie down, paddle and stand once you catch a wave. You will also be taught how to read the conditions of the sea. Prior to this you will learn about safety to prevent any type of accidents. In these stages, classes will be given with waves a meter in height and never above your chest.
