Sri Lanka is a small island country in South Asia, situated just Southeast of India and Northeast of the Maldives. A busy highway and train line run along the coast of the island. These areas are often densely populated with lots of hotels and resorts sitting right on the highway itself. The vibe is often ruined by the constant noise of traffic and the usual hustle and bustle of urban life.
Living true to their name, Elsewhere Surf Camps are away from all the chaos in one of the very few exclusive areas on the beach side of the highway. Unknown to many tourists, this particular area will give you an authentic taste of Sri Lanka. Surrounded by a friendly local community and an abundance of wildlife such as monkeys, peacocks, monitor lizards, and squirrels.
They won’t let you go hungry at Elsewhere Surf Camps. The food can be described as Sri Lankan cuisine with a western twist. A week at Elsewhere includes all your breakfasts and five freshly made dinners, giving you time to also experience some delicious local cooking.
Elsewhere Surf Camps caters for most major dietary requirements and all food is prepared to western hygiene standards to ensure you stay fighting fit throughout your stay.
