The Elephant Road Resort is located in the quiet part of the jungle, facing the wild lagoon, and surrounded only by nature. It takes only a 10-minute walk to get to the beach and the village center. The resort is private and secure. Here, your neighbors are elephants, peacocks, monkeys, buffaloes, and sea eagles.
The resort offers hot water and laundry services. Free Wi-Fi and private SIM cards are also available. There are four beautiful suites with stunning jungle and lagoon views, private yoga balconies, and various chill out spaces.
Suites on the ground floor have 350-square-feet bedrooms with two double beds. Suites feature ceiling fans and air conditioning, as well as an en-suite bathroom. The living room is 400 square feet. Hammock, couch, and special hanging bed hammocks are also offered for total relaxation.

Elephant Road Resort's team of the most experienced surf teachers and guides will help you discover the world of surfing, even if you are just taking your first steps. If you have already tried surfing before or are at intermediate level, they will offer you practice to improve your skills.
Lessons are given in English and in warm waters. Surfboards are provided according to your skill level. During your surf camp, you will take two-hour lessons, which will include theoretical instruction and practice, as well as transportation to the best surf spots according to wave conditions.
The attention during this surf camp is quite personalized, with a ratio of two students per instructor, which will allow you to make the best of your lessons. During the week, you will also get to practice yoga, with seven sessions at two village studios.

Arugam Bay area has an array of quality surf spots for all levels. The season runs from March to October. Starting from sunrise, you have perfect, glassy conditions for surfing. The wind picks up between 12:00 and 16:00, ideal for kite and wind surfers. Arugam Bay has famous surf points, which host various international competitions.
The resort's café serves a fresh breakfast and lunch from 07:00 to 16:00. They also offer an array of snacks and beverages at any time for guests. The café is pleased to open early morning in time for the surfers, yogis, and travelers who would like a hot drink and snack box to take away. They offer special barbecue seafood nights upon request. During this yoga and surf camp, daily breakfast is included.
Arugam Bay area is remote and far from your traditional tourist spot. Untouched and unspoiled, its location is on the eastern border of Yala National Park. The jungle, huge lagoons, and rivers offer some of the most beautiful scenery in Sri Lanka.
You can take a tour to Yala East (Komana) Park. This park is home to all the animals that the country has to offer, such as leopards, sloth bears, wild elephants, jackals, wild boar, spotted deer, and many species of birds.
You can also take the Okanda-Paname Temple Rock tour, which includes an early morning trip to Paname Village and a drive through the sanctuary with a 30-minute climb to the famous high temple rock. From there, you can see the whole bay and visit the beautiful Ukanda Beach.
Visits to the Lahugala National Park are also recommended. Here, you can watch the elephants in their natural environment or take the two-hour tour on a boat or canoe through the giant lagoon. Some of the nearby beaches are perfect for just chilling at the local restaurants, watch the surfers, and relax.
Please book your flight to arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB). Transfer from and to this airport is available for a fee of USD 120 per way. The drive across the island from the airport is about 6 hours.
