The accommodation was spectacular, especially the host! Felt very comfortable as a siingle, female traveler. The area was quiet and I was able to rest and relax. Surf was good.

When you pass the little bridge to be welcomed by the sweet dog Leyla, then you know you are at Elephant Road Resort. Miki is a wonderful host and a very good guide and surfer, always there to help! The spacious rooms have a beautiful view on the natural park from where you can witness wild animals during sunsets, Sri Lankan ones are said to be the most colorful! We cannot wait to go back!
The hotel was an amazing experience. The owner of the Elephant Road Resort was friendly, nice, and kind to us. He helped us with everything. The hotel is in the middle of the jungle. A quiet place that allows peace and quiet. A one-time experience!

Our group stayed one week at the Elephant Road Resort. The rooms were clean and spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Our housekeeper had a lot of tips regarding surf spots and places to go out and organized surf lessons and transport for us. The cook made the best breakfast for us; try the shakshuka, the coffee, and everything else! The way to the resort is a bit adventurous; through a coconut farm, over a bridge, and then you are there. But then it is really quiet and peaceful with a lot of wildlife around: monkeys, elephants, and peacocks. We had a really nice time and a lot of fun at Elephant Road! Would totally recommend!
Elephant Road Resort is definitely a place to be. We were a group of eight Austrian girls, so we shared two rooms. They are very clean and comfortable, with a big bathroom, big beds, mosquito nets, and terrace with hammocks. Arugam Bay is a place where we enjoyed the pure Sri Lankan wildlife and Arugam Bay nightlife. Miki, the housekeeper, is really nice! He told us where to get good food and arranged surf lessons for us and a driver who brought us to our last stop, Mirissa. One of the best things about Elephant Road Resort is the delicious food. I definitely miss the typical surfer breakfast, shakshuka! In the end of our one week stay, we were all unhappy about leaving! Do not hesitate too much, just book your rooms.

My friends and I stayed at Elephant Road Resort for a week! It was an awesome time and worth every cent we spent. The owner helped us in every situation, he even took me to a doctor when I needed one. He explained to us everything about Arugam Bay, the restaurants, the parties, places we needed to go. The house is surrounded by nature, we even had monkeys in the garden and it was an amazing experience! The breakfast is really good, the rooms are clean, Wi-Fi is working super good, and we had a lot of fun staying there! If you wanna feel the spirit of Arugam Bay, I can just recommend this resort!
