This 18th-century manor house is located in the river Minho mouth, near the beach, and surrounded by a medieval forest. The house was originally built as a hunting lodge in the 18th century by the Visconde de Guilhomil, an ancestor of the present owner.

In the gardens, there is a separate house that has been converted into three self-catering apartments. Two of these have two bedrooms each, and the other is a studio apartment.

In the modern annex, located in the outstanding gardens and woods which surround Casa de Esteiró, are two apartments for four people, consisting of two bedrooms, one sitting room, kitchenette, and a bathroom, as well as a terrace. There is also a studio for two people, with kitchenette, bathroom, and a terrace. All the apartments have central heating.

Casa de Cristelo

Casa de Cristelo is family owned, located some 300 meters from Moledo beach. There you will find an oasis of tranquility, consisting of three small houses with a garden and orchard, surrounded by high walls. These are old lodgings that have been refurbished used in a rural tourism setting.

The well-kept garden and the swimming pool of unusual design offer the adequate means to enjoy the rural atmosphere in a cool comfort zone. The large house has two rooms with bathroom, two kitchenettes, two common rooms on the first floor, and a balcony with a view toward the garden and the mountains, besides several ways out to the garden and remaining facilities.

Casa do Meio is located in a separate building, with a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and living room on the first floor. Through the living room, you can go out to an old threshing-floor where you can find a table and stone benches. The Along the Way House is an ample room with a bathroom and a door that leads into an old threshing-floor with tables and stone benches.

You can be absolutely confident that they can find the perfect beach for you to practice every day. All the instructors are surfers of passion who are in love with the sea and wish to share with you this love and passion. Their goal is not only to teach you surfing with a big fun factor but also to bring you closer to the unique world of surfing.

You can leave the issue of quality and safety completely to surf instructors. All instructors are licensed by international standards and genuinely familiar with local conditions. In addition, they are trained specifically to safeguard your safety in the water for you to be able to concentrate entirely on surfing.

Surf waves

Coming from south, Easy Life has found five sandy bottom beaches. Although in fact, there are 12 peaks with great surf conditions, depending on the swell direction, wind, and tide hours. Common to all of them, there are sandy bottoms, an average air temperature of 26 degrees Celsius, and an average water temperature of 16 degrees Celsius.

The quality of the water is very good, awarded every year for its cleanliness, as well as the sand itself. You can find both lefts and rights to surf, an average of 60 meters surfable waves. You can find hollow waves, easy waves, fast, and clean waves. The swells are consistent, quick, and with a precise direction.

You can find heavy water as smooth waves as well. There are all year-round waves, despite the swell size which differs from season to season. From November to April, the average size is five to six feet, and from May to October, it is two to five feet.

Instructors

João Torres
João is a surfer and an entrepreneur in the surf area since late 80’s. He is an organizer of national and open surf competitions and he is the founder of Easy Life - Premium Surf Tourism Operator. He worked for several international companies in this area, until he understood that was not in the right way because there is so much to catch in this life than an ordinary day-to-day. He prefers warm weather, nice people, world class waves, no crowds, no television, no Wi-Fi, and no social networks, just yourself and the ocean.

Location

This surf camp will be held in Caminha, Portugal. The beaches of Arda and Afife are bordering themselves. These have a great reputation for its wave variety, available for all kind of surfers and works all year round, although the best season is between March to October.

Just a few three kilometers to the north, you can get to Forte do Cão, who has an impressive capacity to sustain swells from north. Several peaks in the sandy bottom are at disposal for beginners, medium, and advanced surfers. Right ahead is the Vila Praia de Âncora. On the river mouth, there are two great peaks of lefts and rights.

The pier located at north provides a sustainable bottom and a consistent right. Just before the border with Spain, Moledo, there is a beach with some three kilometers long, on the river mouth of Minho, a natural border. On the mid tides, a long and consistent left runs through the middle of the beach till the river. On the left side of the beach, all kinds of waves are available to discover.

The rural tourism house Casa de Esteiró is situated one kilometer to the south of Caminha, at the River Minho mouth, in one of the most beautiful regions of Portugal, only at a few minutes’ walk from the river and the sea. Long sandy beaches and golden dunes, covered with wild bushes and flowers, lie between the medieval forest of Camarido and the Atlantic, opposite the dark granite castle of the Ínsua Island.

The two rivers of Caminha, Minho, and Coura, attract fishermen and tourists, not only for sports events but also by the account of its romantic setting and atmosphere. The green hills and darker mountains of Alto Minho rise only a few hundred yards from Casa de Esteiró.

Caminha

Caminha is a municipality in the north-west of Portugal, 21 kilometers north from Viana do Castelo and around 100 kilometers from Porto. The population in 2011 was 16,684, in an area of 136.52 square kilometers. Caminha is subdivided into 14 civil parishes. The parish Vilar de Mouros is well-known for the oldest rock festival in Portugal.

The seat of the municipality is the town (or vila in Portuguese) of Caminha, with 2,500 inhabitants. Caminha is located two kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean, on the southern side of the Minho estuary, where this river is met by the smaller and meandering Coura. Here, the Minho reaches its widest point (about two kilometers) and marks the border between Portugal and Spain.

The highly scenic area, with the wide estuary marked by low tide sandbars, a pastoral and green rural landscape, and pine forests on the slopes of the granitic mountains is increasingly popular for second homes and as a summer resort.

Food

The price includes a complete and invigorating breakfast and meals at the most typical and awarded restaurants in the region. Despite being relatively restricted to an Atlantic sustenance, Portuguese cuisine has many Mediterranean influences. Famous for seafood and for its 100 ways of cooking codfish, dishes dedicated to meat are a worldwide reference.

Both in Caminha or in the surrounding villages in Spain, there are hidden and charming places to have and appreciate a reliable meal. Most of them are small places with a familiar service and trustworthy culinary and kitchen. Easy Life knows they suit premium references and fit one of their core values, excellence that fulfills accomplishments.

The region of Galicia in the northwest part of Spain churns out the best food in the entire country. Galicia occupies a particularly special place on the peninsula that has allowed a rich cuisine to develop over the centuries, a rugged coast from which bountiful seafood arrives inland, a fertile, rain-blessed interior to grow anything from corn to peppers to greens in, and a climate that is friendly to raising dairy cows.
