Agreed with all other reviews on here - It was the staff and volunteers (from all over the world) there that made things so awesome, whom were totally friendly and welcoming. Solo travelers: This place IS especially for you! I made a huge regret only staying for two nights - Should have stayed longer! They have daily/nightly activities within the group, so there's always something to do. The homemade food was awesome!
You are camping in the middle of the jungle, thus be prepared for a more rustic experience with bugs, and sounds of the wild. I recommend earplugs for light sleepers, as it gets noisy throughout the night/morning.
I'd take this over any 5 star hotel, or all inclusive any day.
Stayed in a clamping tent, which was very nice. Clean, had a fan. But really the tent is not what you should worry about as you'll be there very little. The camp offers so much you'll not want to sleep. Staff and people you meet are the highlight. Breakfast and supper were amazing. Communication was great with nightly meetings about the next days activities. Antonio would set up nightly excursions, soccer, sunset trip, parties. Be prepared to get super close with everyone as you pack into shuttle rides to and from the camp. All part of the experience. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a different travel experience.
Come with an open mind, leave with a full heart!
