During this surf camp, you will be staying at RioMar Hotel in a shared double room. Private room options are available, please ask Dominical Surf School for a quote.

The rooms at Riomar hotel are very spacious, equipped with AC, a private bathroom, safe box, hairdryer, small fridge, and plenty of storage space to guarantee a comfortable stay.

Program

This camp will be run by women for women! You will get to explore Costa Rica through the eyes of passionate locals and expatriates who are in love with this place.

The instructors are certified ISA surf coaches, certified lifeguards, and local surfers from Dominical beach, some of them have competed in the past in the national surf circuit representing Costa Rica internationally.

Photo and video analysis:

There will be two photo/video sessions. Watching yourself surf in video/photo combined with the instructors’ feedback and land training is the best and fastest way to accelerate your surf knowledge and skills. You can take the photos with you if you bring your own flash drive, otherwise, Dominical Surf School will upload them for you into a personal folder on Dropbox.com or WeTransfer.

Board rental

There are a variety of boards that you can use throughout the week for extra practice. Some restrictions will apply.

Location

This surf camp will take place in Dominical Beach, Puntarenas, Costa Rica. A perfect destination for beginner and intermediate surfers. Ideal for travellers who like to avoid the crowds of the most popular surf cities like Jaco, Santa Teresa and Tamarindo.

The hotel is located in front of the magnificent Baru river and between the jungle, only a 10-minute walk from the beach and beautiful Dominical Village. At the hotel itself you have the possibility to do self-guided trails in the jungle, spot birds and animals in their lush gardens and relax by the pool bar. Riomar restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

You will be served daily breakfast and 5 dinners. Lunches are not included.

Spa treatments

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO). Transfer from the airport is included. Dominical Surf School offers private transportation at 2 different times in the day 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for pick up. Drop off will be at 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.

If you like to rent your own car and still do the package through Dominical Surf School, the transportation cost can be deducted.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 14% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
