Best Surf At Diggers

Best conditions for a surf:

  • Swell Direction: E, SE
  • Surf Height: 3-8 feet
  • Wind: W
  • Tide: All tides

Diggers Winds And Waves

Diggers is an exposed beach break that has consistent surf. Autumn and winter are the optimum times of the year for waves. Offshore winds are from the southwest with some shelter here from south winds. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southeast. The beach break offers both left and right-hand waves. Good surf at all stages of the tide.

Charlesworth Bay

Check out Charlesworth Bay, just over the northern headland, as sometimes you can find a smaller and less crowded wave.

Macauleys Headland

Macauleys Headland is an exposed point break at the northern end of Park Beach. The best wind direction is from the northwest. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the best swell direction is from the southeast. The beach breaks consist of lefts and there is also a left-hand point break. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It’s often crowded here so try further south down the beach towards the Surf Club along Park Beach.
