Are you a complete beginner? Perhaps you know your way around a surfboard but need a little extra guidance to take on bigger waves. The fun and friendly staff are equipped with the best local knowledge and a passion for surfing, making Cli Surf Morocco the best place to learn surfing and improve your skills. There is a maximum of six people for each surf instructor to ensure you get the most out of the experience. The experienced guides are fully qualified and certified in first aid and lifesaving.
They check the wind, tide, and swell daily to ensure you are surfing the best waves to learn on. The group sizes are kept small to ensure you receive all the attention and advice you need. Cli Surf Morocco also has a number of boards at their disposal, so you have the opportunity to graduate from foam through to a hardboard. Who knows, you might leave as a seasoned pro! The surf lessons start at 10:00 a.m.
You will spend 30 minutes stretching and warming up followed by three hours of surf lessons with qualified surf instructors. For some people, this is enough and they like to relax on the beach. Some others that are keen to get back on the water enjoy a supervised afternoon surf session where you can practice and get feedback from the instructors. Either way, you are guaranteed a full day’s worth of surfing, should you want it.
Surf coaching
Surfing is meant to be fun but Cli Surf Morocco is very serious when it comes to your safety and well-being. All the Cli Surf surfing instructors meet the requirements for safety and training as determined by the Moroccan Association of Surf Instructors. The surf instructors also hold certificates for standard first aid and lifesaving, so rest assured that you are in safe and capable hands.
Cli Surf Morocco has been established six years. The curriculum covers all the surfing essentials, from water safety, learning to stand upright through, to perfecting your cutbacks. With a number of years spent developing an effective surfing program in combination with professional surf instructors, you will be riding waves in no time.
Beginner level surf lessons
This program is designed for people who have never tried surfing or have had an old surf lesson here or there. You will learn the basics on the shore, followed by testing your balance and handling in waist-deep water. From here, the instructors will teach you about beach safety, board handling, and reading the ocean conditions. Then, you can put your skills to good practice and test your pop-up and stopping safely in whitewash waves. Some people get it on the first go; others take a little longer to get the knack for it. The trick is not to get disheartened. If you continue to have fun, you will eventually get it.
Once you graduate from here, you will learn more about paddling (and techniques that make it easier), surfboard control, weight distribution, faster takeoffs, and surfing etiquette. Once equipped with these basics, you will be ready to learn about wave selection and catch the green waves in no time. After the first session of surfing, the groups are divided based on the ability to ensure you get the most out of your lessons. Cli Surf Morocco also takes photos while you are out in the water, so you can review your technique with the instructors or simply keep them as a memento of your trip.
