The package includes accommodation with breakfast and unlimited weekly windsurf equipment rental / private course or course in a group of two. You are going to stay in a wooden lodge nestled in a nice garden right by the beach. There are restaurants, cafes, a beach, and beach bars. Gökçeada is located in the Aegean sea across the Dardanelles. It is the largest island in Turkey, part of Canakkale province. The island is known for the wind and the beauty of its nature. Here, you will have a week of great sports activities, fun, and relaxation.
Crazy Island Center offers accommodation on the beach, 8 nice wooden lodges with a modern cozy interior, and 4 glamping tents. Each bungalow is equipped with air-conditioning, a private bathroom, towels, and a balcony.
All lodges are nested in a beautiful garden. The glamping tents are 4 meters in diameter and 2.5 meters high with a cozy interior and comfortable beds arranged for 2 guests. The tent guests need to use a shared bathroom.
They have a restaurant, private parking, a kite/windsurf station, and a beach bar. Wi-Fi is available in most areas. Breakfast is included. Being surfers themselves, they tried to develop the best surfing accommodation in Gokceada. It is on the spot and the price of your room is included kite / windsurf equipment storage at the station right in front.
The beginners windsurf course gives guidance from start to free sailing, steering, and performing slow turns in light wind. Within this course, you will have 4 windsurf lessons with an instructor and 2 hours of self-practice under the supervision of your instructor.
In the beginning, you will start with a big 230-liter board and a small easy-to-handle sail. Later, you will start using a smaller 180-liter windsurf board and a bigger sail.
During this intensive windsurf course, you will become independent on the water and light winds and you will be able to rent equipment on your own.

Crazy Island Center is located on Gokceada island, Aegean Sea, Turkey. The wind is North-East. This is the same well-known Meltemi that works in all the islands in the Aegean.
The wind in Gokceada is accelerated by thermal and venturi effects. During the summer there is a constant wind of 22 to 25 knots in the morning, which slowly falls to 6-12 knots in the late afternoon. Fronts come with strong winds around 28-35 knots or stronger.
There are 2 main spots in Gokceada island with mirror flat water (off-shore wind) and spot with waves up to 1.5-2 meters (on shore, side onshore). The active season in Gokceada is from May to October. From June to mid-September, wet suit is not necessary. At the beginning of May and in October, long 3/4/5mm wet suit is recommended as the water is chilly, after mid-May and the second half of September shorty or 1-2 mm wet suit is okay.
Getting to Gokceada island is easy. You can get here by car and or by plane. The island is located in the Aegean sea across the Dardanelles. Gokceada is only 17 miles (31 kilometers) from the mainland and takes about one and a half hours to get on the island with a ferry from Kabatepe port. During the summer the ferries are at every 2 hours.
It is a mirror flat water spot, which offers perfect conditions for advancing in freestyle and race every morning, and for beginners in the afternoon when the windfalls. The sea bed is sandy and safe. Crazy Island is located on this beach. The center is equipped with 2 rescue boats for assistance.
Great jumping conditions for wave riders at all levels. Big bay with a sandy bed, safe for the riders and the gear. The wave spot is 2 kilometers far from the center, they arrange a transfer to the wave spot for the riders and the equipment.
The island is big and undiscovered. There are other great places except for the main spots, the secret spots are side shore spots with waves up to 2 meters.
If you are looking for a new adventure and want to stay out of the crowd they can arrange a trip upon request, the spots are reachable in half hour from Crazy Island center at Aydincik beach.
It is a great experience and fun. The downwind distance is about 15 kilometers and the final stop is at the wave spot, the starting point is a 1/2-hour drive from the center, trips could be arranged upon request.
Crazy Island kite and windsurfing is at Aydincik beach (the flat water spot). The center is a part of a beach complex with wooden villas, a restaurant, a coffee bar, and a garden, with Wi-Fi access everywhere.

Kaleköy is on the north-eastern coast of the island across Samothrace island. You can easily reach it heading straight north from the center of Gokceada. Kaleköy has a small port for fishing boats and yachts, an open marketplace for souvenirs, fish restaurants cafés, and clubs near the port alley. There is a hill with ancient remains of a castle and spectacular view to Samothrace, especially on sunset.
It is a pretty eclectic town with different small shops, restaurants for traditional Turkish food, pastry shops, barber shops, and open Sunday marketplace for all kinds of vegetables, fruits, cheese, olives, spices and anything you can imagine. Gokceada is 6 km far from the port to the mainland (Kuzuliman) and 12 km from Aydincik beach.

You can get to Gokceada by traveling through Greece or Bulgaria. Through Greece, Gokceada is 170 kilometers far from the Greek / Turkish border. The distance from Ipsala (the town at the border) to Kabatepe port is about 140 kilometers. The road is very good most on the motorway, takes less than 2 hours.
Through Bulgaria, the distance to Gokceada from the Bulgarian / Turkish border near Edirne is 250 kilometers, the road is mostly on motorways and takes about 2 to 3 hours.
If you are going to travel with a leased or company car, get your authorization translated into Turkish or English. The speed limit is 130 kilometers per hour on motorways, 110 kilometers per hour on speedways, 90 kilometers per hour on the normal road, and 50 kilometers per hour in the towns.
