She is the manager and instructor of Costa Rica Surf and SUP. She's been living in the Nicoya area for years and she found amazing places for surfing and going SUP. She is a certified life saver and she speaks French (her native language), Spanish, and English. She believes that anyone can learn to surf, she doesn’t take this phrase lightly, she put her heart and all her strength in every lesson.
My 13 year old daughter and I booked a SUP trip with Audrey. She came to our location and picked us up. When we were on our way to our original booked trip, she offered another trip up by Pochote in the mangroves. We took it and had a great experience. She even helped my daughter try to get her phone back as it got wet on the trip. I would recommend Audrey to anyone looking for an SUP experience.
We planned to meet Audrey at our lodging Friday morning at 9:00 AM, but were out of groceries (our last day there) and needed to go into town for food first. We left a message with our groundskeeper on where to find us in town. Audrey not only came to the location not knowing what we looked like, but she waited for us TWICE and was so patient and kind considering we made things more complicated than necessary (SORRY!)... Once we hit the beach, her instruction was very clear and easy to understand, no frills or scare tactics, just how to relax and surf. We had an absolute blast, and we both took to it pretty quickly. I will be surfing again! Thank you Audrey for your candor, patience, and kindness. This was our favorite activity on our entire trip. Great last day in Santa Teresa.
We are first time surfers and did a 2 hour lesson, she was a great teacher, very patient and skilled! I thought I would be hopeless as I don't have great balance but she taught us so well I was able to ride the board within an hour! The lesson was really good fun!
