Casa Cayuco resort was built by a team of indigenous Ngäbé Buglé carpenters starting in 2005. The cabins in this resort are stand alone, open-air structures with lots of space and private baths. Covered porches on each cabin are perfectly situated to relax and enjoy the tropical surroundings.

During this surf camp, you can choose from 3 kinds of cabins offered for your stay: Loro, Coco, and Rana. All rooms have imported linens, high thread count sheets, fair trade and hand made in India bedspreads. All beds are fitted with imported high-end gel top memory foam mattresses made for tropical environments. All rooms are also equipped with USB charging ports, two high powered ceiling fans, and free Wi-Fi.

Loro (main lodge suite)

Elevated high in the canopy, Loro is Casa Cayuco's newest accommodation and is perfect for couples. Loro is the Spanish word for parrot, as staying in this accommodation is like sleeping in a chic birds' nest. With amazing views of the Caribbean in the front and the jungle canopy in the back, Loro is furnished with one queen bed and their most unique open-air shower. Design and comfort are the focus of every cabin.

Coco (jungle cabin)

Coco sits near the back of Casa Cayuco's property and is their largest and most private cabin. It includes one queen, one set of bunk beds, and two single beds. It is split up into two rooms that share one bathroom. Design and comfort are the focus of every cabin. Coco has a large porch with plenty of seating.

Rana (main lodge suite)

Located on the second floor of the main lodge, Rana is one of two elevated lodge suites. It is a large open-air room which accommodates one queen bed and up to two single beds. Design and comfort are the focus of every accommodation. It has a large open-air shower which has a great view of the jungle behind the property, where you may even spot a monkey or sloth.

Included excursions

During this surf camp, you will go on a guided tour to a local indigenous village.

Casa Cayuco Eco-Adventure Lodge sits on a small swath of land sandwiched between white sand and the lush rain forest. Remote by choice, the resort is a 40-minute boat ride from Bocas Town, Colon Island, and adjacent to the National Marine Park of Isla Bastimentos. Their private white sand beach is no more than a minute walk from anywhere on the property.

Where they are located, there are no roads. Locals and tourists use footpaths to get from one place to another. These same paths provide a wonderful trail system for hiking/walking and numerous opportunities for birding and finding sloths and monkeys!

Three meals a day and snacks are included in your stay. From Casa Cayuco's remote location, they work hard to source the freshest ingredients. Their cuisine is Panamanian-American fusion, centered around amazing seafood caught and delivered right to their dock.

All of the meals are chef’s choice but they are able to accommodate any dietary restrictions or food allergies. Meals are served at communal tables with all of other guests. A large table on the dock provides many opportunities for meals to be enjoyed under the stars while enjoying the phenomenon of bioluminescence.
