For windsurfers and kitesurfers

In Vignola bay, Blue Zone Sardinia usually finds perfect conditions for windsurfing / kitesurfing beginners in the morning and in the late afternoon. In the late morning and early afternoon, it gets thermal wind, allowing the experts to show their skills. In Blue Zone Sardinia's spot, you’ll find good conditions with west wind and mistral (slightly gusty) and perfect conditions with north-east wind, east wind and Sirocco, which, in Vignola, come side shore from the right and they’re usually stronger than in the other nearby spots. Sometimes, it gets challenging when the strong mistral blows, with shore break waves that break around 150 meters from the beach, around the rock called Tartaruga. It is considered to be the best spot in the area with east, north-east, and south-east wind since in Vignola bay, the wind from the east is strong, with shortwave up to 1.5 meters from the right.

For divers

Around Blue Zone Sardinia's area, you will find a fantastic variety of marine life, including barracudas, lobsters, snappers, tunas, greater amberjacks, corbs, groupers, red coral, and soft coral.

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (OLB). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request. From the airport, which is about 70 kilometers, traveling by car or by bus, you can reach your destination in about one hour. Both airports in North Sardinia are a convenient starting point to reach Blue Zone Sardinia's camping village. Those arriving at Alghero-Fertilia Airport (AHO) can reach Blue Zone Sardinia's campsite by taking the highway to Sassari, then follow the direction to Castelsardo, Santa Teresa di Gallura until reaching Vignola Mare.

Arrival by ferry

The main shipping companies connect Olbia, Golfo Aranci, and Porto Torres in Sardinia to Genova, Livorno, Civitavecchia, and Napoli. By car, it takes about one hour to reach the resort from all the ports. If you get to Olbia, drive along the highway to Vignola Mare; from Golfo Aranci, reach first Arzachena and then continue to Vignola. From Porto Torres, drive along the coastal road to Platamona - Castelsardo - Valledoria and reach Vignola.

For those who want to get to Sardinia through Corsica, there are ferry connections from Nizza, La Spezia, Genova, and Livorno via Bastia-Bonifacio. Once arrived in Santa Teresa di Gallura, follow the highway to Vignola Mare.
