Lovely hotel and very good value for money. Not forgetting the tasty food and nice clean rooms. Management (Amanda and Lucky) and staff couldn't do enough to make our stay more comfortable. 5 minute walk along the beach is nice bathing area with life guards. You can walk half a mile in to the sea and the water is still only waist high. Highly recommended.

Hospitality at its best. From the waiters to the hotel manger go beyond their duty to cater and attend to the guests needs. Chef is one of the best. We find out that he used to work in top restaurants in Colombo and please try his chili crab. It is the best. We had a very friendly waiter/bell boy. He was very fast serving us and did not hesitate to fulfill our requests. Manager Lucky is another person that went beyond his duty to satisfy his customers. Hotel is clean and food was fresh and tasty. Only thing that travelers have to be aware is that you are travelling or staying at one of the most remote parts of Sri Lanka. If you want five star luxury Arugam Bay is not the place. You better stay in Colombo. This is a world famous surfing area. However, Sri Lankan government and its corrupt politicians has neglected and hasn’t done any developments for tourists. Beach is polluted and fishermen doesn’t have a proper harbor facilities. You can experience power failures and Wi-Fi is not the best. If you can handle these shortcomings and want to have a relax holiday with best surfing, swimming and visiting wildlife sanctuaries Arugam Bay is one of the best. Staff at Bay Vista will make sure that you have a pleasant and enjoyable stay.
Stayed with my family for 3 weeks. As we explored other nice places, I can surely say that this is the best hotel in Arugam Bay if taking in account all aspects and especially value for money. Excellent location and scenery, for surfers - 10 minutes walk to the main point, daily yoga classes on the roof top balcony. We got huge and nice comfortable room with an extra single bad, Wi-Fi connection in all places - rooms and public areas, good vibes, best food, great breakfast and buffet dinners and generous staff. Mr Ferrera the owner, and his family, were wonderful and very helpful! Definitely will come again.
