Canggu, Bali villa

The villa is situated perfectly in the heart of a trendy coastal village called Canggu. From here, you can walk to one of Bali's best beginner waves called Old Mans. The village is packed with a young, hip, surf vibe with lots to do and see. The villa itself offers a relaxed atmosphere with a lovely swimming pool and chic interior.

Nusa Lembongan villa

Surrounded by beautiful reefs and bright blue crystal clear water, Nusa Lembongan really delivers the goods. You can drink your coffee whilst doing your morning surf or taking in the spectacular view. The professional surf team will be waiting in their boat right out the front to drop you to famous surf breaks.

If you decide to arrive in advance to the destination, it is sometimes possible for Barefoot Surf Travel to accommodate you for an additional fee, or they can also advise you on places to stay prior to your trip with them. Please inform Barefoot Surf Travel in advance if you are interested.

This trip is for you if you have never surfed and want to learn how to surf, or if you have basic surf experience of three years or less. The package is perfect for those who are looking for beach breaks that are easy to learn to surf on, and desire to get immersed into a surf lifestyle. Experienced guides from the national surf team will be instructing you throughout the trip with three students to one coach ratio.

Barefoot Surf Travel provides you with six professional surf lessons, three in Bali and three in Nusa Lembongan, to get you on the board as well as all equipment you need during the trip. There will be two surf meetings to introduce you to all theories and techniques for basic surfing and tips on best local spots to surf. Technique analysis with photos and videos are available to help you grasp the skills to ride the waves and when you are already for it, the team will have your best photo shots taken for you.

Surf packages

On this trip, you have the liberty to choose between the Level 1 and Level 2 surf packages.

The Level 1 package is designed for either total beginners that never tried surfing before or for people that have tried surfing for a few days or a few weeks. If you want to learn the proper surf basics, such as paddling, popping up, reading waves, and going right or left, this is the right package for you.

The Level 2 package is designed for surfers that have been surfing for at least a few weeks. They can swim through the white water efficiently, catch unbroken waves without assistance, and go right or left on a wave. Barefoot Surf Travel will analyze your surfing and help you to understand fundamental techniques to execute intermediate maneuvers.

Bali, a surfer's paradise

This surf trip will take place in Bali, Indonesia. This is arguably the best place on earth to surf. No other country can match the number of surf spots on these islands, nor the quality of the waves. Bali is paradise for intermediate and advanced surfers, with many world class reef breaks and point breaks. It is also a great place to learn to surf. The surf guides will bring beginners to fun beach breaks so they can learn in a safe environment.

You can ask any surfer who has hit Indonesian waves and they will tell you that Bali is perfection. Here, you will find the most consistent surf on earth. Being a small island, there is always a spot that works somewhere offshore and that is exactly why you are here. The guides will ensure to provide you with all the advice that you need to find the best waves for your skill level.

People and culture in Bali

Bali is the only predominantly Hindu island in all of Indonesia. Balinese people are extremely ritualistic, a phenomenon that can be experienced by witnessing a daily traditional Balinese ceremony. You will feel the exceptional energy in this island through the artistically designed offerings to the gods, traditional dances, costumes, temples, and ceremonies.

Balinese people are among the most friendly and pleasant people on earth. Most Balinese speak English and it is guaranteed that a conversation with a local will leave you feeling the overall joy and spirituality this country possesses.

Everything is very affordable in Bali, including food, transportation, spas, souvenirs, clothing, and so on. Bali even attracts thousands of tourists whose aim is entirely to shop, so make sure to leave some room in your suitcase.

Balinese cuisine usually consists of an incredible variety of spices, fresh vegetables, rice, and meat, which is mostly chicken or seafood. It has been influenced by outside cultures such as South India, Malaysia, and China. You can taste this amazing food for an average of 2.50 USD in warungs or food stands. Aside from Balinese, you can also enjoy foods from all around the globe.
