After introducing you to all the best waves you can wish for, the trip continues in Ayampe, where you can have more awesome surf and seek for more adventure. Surf classes are complemented by relaxing yoga classes.
In order to maximize your time in the water and on the sand in Ecuador, Barefoot Surf Travel has selected accommodations located only a walking distance from the beach with great chilling areas and Wi-Fi access. These accommodations are very clean, have friendly staff, and are located close to good surf spots and each destination’s main attractions. The accommodation in Ayampe has ocean view.
If you decide to arrive in advance to the destination, it is sometimes possible for Barefoot Surf Travel to accommodate you for an additional fee, or they can also advise you on places to stay prior to your trip with them. Please inform Barefoot Surf Travel in advance if you are interested.
This trip is for you if you have never surfed and want to learn how to surf, or if you have basic surf experience of three years or less. The package is perfect for those who are looking for beach breaks that are easy to learn to surf on and desire to get immersed into a surf lifestyle. Experienced guides from the national surf team will be instructing you throughout the trip with three students to one coach ratio.
Barefoot Surf Travel provides you with five professional surf lessons to get you on the board as well as all equipment you need during the trip. There will be two surf meetings to introduce you to all theories and techniques for basic surfing and tips on best local spots to surf. Technique analysis with photos and videos are available to help you grasp the skills to ride the waves, and when you are already on it, the team will have your best photo shots taken for you.
On this trip, you have the liberty to choose between the Level 1 and Level 2 surf packages.
The Level 1 package is designed for either total beginners that never tried surfing before, or for people that have tried surfing for a few days or a few weeks. If you want to learn the proper surf basics, such as paddling, popping up, reading waves, and going right or left, this is the right package for you.
The Level 2 package is designed for surfers that have been surfing for at least a few weeks. They can swim through the white water efficiently, catch unbroken waves without assistance, and go right or left on a wave. Barefoot Surf Travel will analyze your surfing and help you to understand fundamental techniques to execute intermediate maneuvers.
Yoga is an excellent complement to surfing because it allows you to build flexibility and muscular strength. This activity will put you in the relaxed mood and get you totally immersed in the tranquil vibe of Montanita. Three classes of yoga will be provided during the trip.

Please arrive at José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (GYE). Private shuttles from the airport are included. In order to benefit from the free shuttles included in the packages, you must arrive and leave on the same dates planned in the surf camps. You need to land on the date of commencement of the camp and leave on the last day of the camp to catch the free shuttles. Outside of these dates, transportation from the airport is not included.
