You and your surf buddies will stay in the Rancho – which overlooks the uncrowded right-hand point break that you can surf anytime. You will stay in 1 bedroom with 4 double beds and an ensuite bathroom. Each guest will have their own double bed.
This is your own private hideaway with hammocks and a chill out area, private kitchen facilities with a fridge and cooker, and access to natural wave pools from the beach. There are also beach restaurants and basic shops nearby.
Program
Pixie will be your surf guide and surf coach to take you once a day to all of the other surf breaks available along the coast line including Sunzal, Punta Roca, K59, K61, La Bocana, La Paz, and El Zonte. Additional 1 on 1 coaching is available throughout the week for a discounted price.
A hire pick–up truck is at your disposal for the whole trip so you can visit anywhere you like, stock up on supplies, and eat at nearby restaurants. Please bring your driver's license.
The waves and breaks
Palmarcito
Right outside your accommodation window is Palmarcito surf break. Palmarcito is a fun wave that caters for all levels of surfing. Normally a foot smaller than everywhere else, this is perfect for beginner and progression surf coaching. A predominant right hander with the occasional fun left.
Sunzal
15 minutes drive from the villa. It’s an awesome right hander that is great for all levels of surfing. A nice fat, but still wall‑y wave that goes on forever. It can cater for mini-mals and longboards as well as shortboard riding.
K61 and K59
10 minutes drive from the villa. Fast take off right-handers, 59 likes a barrel in the right conditions. 61 can be easier to get into. Both are equally fun; 59 is more intermediate, for advanced-level surfers, while 61 can be for all levels.
La Bocana
Goofy heaven! More of an intermediate wave but on small swells can be great for advanced beginner surfers. This is their favorite left and one of their favorite waves in the world. But it’s actually a great A frame that can give some amazing rights when the swell direction allows.
La Paz
Super fun for all levels and usually a foot smaller than everywhere else. Good for longboards, mini-mals, and short boards too. It has nice long cruisy lines.
El Zonte
It has 2 great waves. The main right-hander point break is great for all levels, and the beach break which can be a bit more for intermediate surfers and kicks out a fab left-hander.

Hi I'm "Pixie" that's my Surfer name. My birth name is Georgina Cronin. I'm an ISA Qualified Surf Instructor and UK Beach lifeguard Qualified. I've been teaching surfing to people for 15+ years. I have lived 10 years here in El Salvador and previously 10 years in Indonesia where I was also a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor. I also run womens surf retreats here in Salvador and I make Surf Bikinis for women with a company I set up called Surf Worthy.
