How to get there

Driving directions from Kahului Airport (OGG)

  • Exit the airport terminal toward Kahului.
  • Take a right at the first light onto Haleakala Highway.
  • Merge right into Hana Highway.
  • The road will curve sharply left and become State Highway 32, Kaahumanu Avenue.
  • Go about 2.5 miles and you will go under an overpass.
  • At the second stoplight after the overpass, turn right onto State Highway 330, North Market Street.
  • After about 0.3 mile, you will cross a bridge. The hostel is on the right immediately after the bridge.
  • Take your first right after the hostel building onto Kapoai Place.
  • You may park in the garage while you check in.
  • The reception desk is in the front of the grey hostel building, facing North Market Street.

Arrival by airplane

Please arrive at Kahului Airport (OGG). Banana Bungalow Maui Hostel will pick you up there and it is included in the price. The pick-up times are at 9 a.m., 1.30 p.m., and 6 p.m. For more information, please send Banana Bungalow Maui Hostel an inquiry.

Arrival by bus

First, take the Upcountry Islander #40 or the Haiku Islander #35 to Queen Kaahumanu Center for 2 USD. From Queen Kahumanu Center, take either the Wailuku Route #1 or #2. Route #2 takes around 24 minutes and route #1 takes around 35 minutes. The Wailuku Route costs 2 USD. Once you are on the Wailuku Route, you will want to get off at Piihana Terrace. You can tell the bus driver that you are going to Banana Bungalow Maui Hostel and they will know where to let you off. The hostel is across the bridge on the right-hand side, about 20 meters from the bus stop. Please enter through the back after 1 p.m.

Cancellation Policy

  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 2 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
