What a paradise on earth! I really felt immediately at home in this love full environment! I just loved everything, the design, the breakfast, very personal and service minded staff / family, the yoga classes, the surf classes, the massages, the location, the natural materials used! A complete wonderful place to be! Just love!

We spent 3 nights at Balsa and wish we could have stayed more. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were the best we have had in SA! We stayed in the Jama-Coaque room. It was spacious and had a deck with a double hammock which we loved. We also went through Balsa for surf lessons and board hire. The balsa boards were awesome. Also, Balsa is close enough to town to walk under 10 minutes but is far enough away that it is quiet and tranquil. We would definitely stay here again.

After more than 3 weeks, I could definitely call Balsa Surf Camp my temporary 'home'. All people working at Balsa made my stay incredible. Everyone was very hospitable and passionate and after 3 weeks I really felt part of the family. The rooms are nice and the pressure of the shower is better than my own shower at home! In this part of town, you will not recognize all the parties. It is an oasis of peace. Definitely try the breakfast! It is perfect! The surfboards and surf teachers are amazing as well!
