Come and join the ArtSurfCamp team in conquering some incredible waves on this surf camp in Razo, a surfing paradise in Galicia, Spain. It doesn't matter if you're a newbie or veteran as there will surely be a wave in store for you. Seasoned and passionate surf instructors are excited to guide you and share their knowledge, skills, and techniques. What's more is there will be great socializing under the sizzling Spanish sun through fun and thrilling group activities!
The surf camp's hotel-hostel has two floors with windows for you to enjoy the spectacular views of the beach, and fitted wardrobes where you can store your stuff while you're out surfing. The first floor has shared bedrooms of four to six people, with bunk beds and separate shower and toilet areas. The second floor has shared bedrooms for four people with en suite bathrooms.
The hotel-hostel has license (15-AX-16) from the Autonomous Community of Galicia, and it belongs to the International Network of Youth Hostels. The total capacity is for 86 people, with a floor space of 2,200 square meters. The ArtBar is a fantastic restaurant-bar where you can enjoy anything from a cup of coffee or a drink, to a lunch or dinner of your choice according to the menu. Furthermore, you can relax after a day of surfing or watch the waves before starting from the stunning sun terrace.
In the 80 square meters audiovisual room, there are complementary lessons such as video correction, wave formation, or workshops that will help you improve your skills and knowledge. You can also challenge your friends to a game of table tennis.
The chill-out area is the perfect place to relax on the hammocks or in the garden area. There is also a mini ramp, a three-sided football field, and a volleyball court. At the surf school, you will have the best surfing equipment in order to ride Razo’s waves like surfboards, wetsuits, and more.
You’ll have a two-hour surf sessions everyday for five days, plus two hours of free surfing in the afternoon daily with supervision from the instructors. You’ll be in a group of six people or less so that the instructor can give you personalized attention and feedback. Classes are suitable for all surf skill levels. More advanced surfers will be allowed to surf in more challenging surf spots, while still under the expert eye of the instructors who ready with excellent tips and advice if needed.
Your instructors are all fully qualified and have many years of experience teaching surfing and practicing the sport themselves. They have local knowledge so will be able to take you to the best surfing spot based on the weather conditions and your level. They have been chosen because of their love of surfing and their excellent teaching skills. You can be sure that they are the best people to learn from. You will do some surf trips around Costa da Morte to look for the best waves.
Your surf lessons will be videoed so that you can watch them back with the instructor and pinpoint exactly how to improve your technique. You will be provided with all the top quality equipment you'll need. The instructor will help you pick out the best board for you based on your size and experience. As part of the additional activities and offerings during the afternoons and evenings, retreat participants are welcome to practice yoga classes especially suited for surfers.
This retreat will take place at ArtSurfCamp. It is located in Razo Beach, in northwestern Spain and above Portugal. It is the perfect coastal town to catch some waves all year long. Razo is a seven-kilometer sandy beach that belongs to the municipality of Carballo, a beautiful area in the province of A Coruña on the Atlantic coast of Spain. Razo is considered as one of the best surf spots in Spain and throughout the Atlantic coast of Europe. You shouldn't miss the chance to surf in this paradise.
Just 50 kilometers from Razo, you'll find Santiago de Compostela, an amazing and historic city famous for St. James' Way, amazing food, and nightlife. Even closer to Razo, you'll find A Coruña which is one of the most important cities in northern Spain.
Each day, you will have a filling breakfast to fuel your surfing day, and your lunches and dinners will always be two-course meals. All three daily meals will be top-quality, homemade, Spanish food.
The surf club offers a variety of great activities each evening including yoga, urban surfing, bumper balls, stretching, tarp surfing, capoeira, beach volleyball, ping pong, longskate, slackline, barbecues, jam sessions, relax on the beach, or chilling out in the bar or in the garden. This trip is also ideal for solo travelers who want to learn new skills and make new friends. With accommodation in a sociable surf club, and group classes and mealtimes, you’re sure to make new friends in no time.
You are also welcome to discover Costa da Morte, which means the coast of death. It is a magical coast directly exposed to the Atlantic Ocean. The shore got its name from the many shipwrecks along its betraying jagged shoreline. You can also leisurely enjoy the stunning sunset views of Razo Beach, and try out the amazing hiking trails around the natural protected area of Baldaio.

Please book your flight to arrive at A Coruña Airport (LCG). Transfer from and to the airport is included. ArtSurfCamp will pick you up.
This international airport offer good and cheap connecting flights with European cities like London, Zurich, Frankfurt, Geneva, and Milan, and also with the main Spanish cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and Seville.
You can also take a bus or train to the city of A Coruna, and then ArtSurfCamp will pick you up from the respective stations.
