This adventure camp is your opportunity to enjoy a high level training led by your special guest hosts, Nic Gregoriades and Kit Dale, combined with kite surfing lessons, snorkeling trips, boat cruises, and a bunch of other adventures in beautiful Zanzibar island. Practice and improve your guard, passing, mount techniques with depth technique breakdowns in a mat format, head out on the ocean for kitesurfing sessions, and make your Jiu-Jitsu game go through the roof!
The maximum participants in the group is 15.
During this training, you will stay in a private or a shared twin room at a beachfront resort in the east coast of Zanzibar. The rooms are initially planned for sharing, but a private room can be arranged upon request. AndRoll BJJ Camps have two different resorts picked out, one is better suited for small groups and one is for large groups, so it depends how many people sign up.
This camp caters for all levels of Jiu-Jitsu experience, from fresh faced white belts to seasoned black belts. The coaches will be able to help you push your limits whatever your abilities.
Upon arrival, you will have your first training session and meal together in the evening, after everybody has arrived. It is recommend to arrive in the morning or early afternoon.
During this Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training, you will have two daily sessions, once in the morning and once again in the evening. One session, will be the seminar style, with a particular focus that may include guard, passing, or mount, lots of drills, and in depth technique breakdowns.
The second session of the day, will be more of an open mat format, with more time for rolling and will include a questions and answers sessions with your instructors, Nic Gregoriades and Kit Dale. Classes will be both in gi and no-gi, usually no-gi in the morning and gi at night. The full schedule will be handed out at the start of the camp.
On most days in between the training sessions, you will be heading out on the ocean to kitesurf. You will have professional, qualified instructors on hand to show you the ropes for the first few days, and we guarantee you’ll be getting the hang of it by the end of the camp. The Zanzibar area is well known as a kiting paradise, with perfect conditions and picturesque locations.
For those days where everyone is out of energy, you will also be doing some relaxing snorkeling trips and boat cruises towards the end of the camp. If everyone is still pumped up and ready to go, you can also head out on the boat to find some waves and have a surf lesson. This camp is designed with high intensity activities, however, it is suggested that you go at your own pace and not over do it. You can train one hour a day or 10, it’s up to you! Make sure to take some time to relax and enjoy the island!
This training includes snorkeling and boat trips around Zanzibar island.
Kit Dale is a 28 year-old Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt practitioner, coach, and lifer. He teaches BJJ out of Melbourne, Australia at infinity south Yarra. When Kit isn't testing his game out on Australian competitors, he can be seen competing on the world stage at competitions like Metamoris, the IBBJF Worlds, and others. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a huge passion for Kit, but not by any means the only one. In his spare time, he spends a lot of time writing and shooting videos with his brother, Scott Dale.
Gi Jiu Jitsu became part of Nic Gregoriades’ life in 2004 when he joined Roger Gracie’s academy in West London, England. Nicolas stayed with Roger throughout the belt system, reaching the degree of black belt in 2008, becoming also Roger Gracie’s first black belt. Since then, Nic has launched his own Brazilian Jiu Jitsu endeavor, the Jiu Jitsu Brotherhood. Some of his achievements include Abu-Dhabi Pro European Qualifier (2010) and British Open Champion (2012).
This training will take place at the Zanzibar island in Tanzania. The beautiful exotic island of Zanzibar is located in East Africa, and is composed of the Zanzibar Archipelago which consists of many small islands, being two large ones Unguja and Pemba in the Indian Ocean.

This training includes three daily healthy fresh meals plus snacks and drinks. Most of the meals will be served in a buffet format. There will be a variety of dishes, mixing Swahili and Western food, all with healthy and fresh ingredients. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated.
Please book your flight to arrive at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ). Transfer from and to the airport is included. AndRoll BJJ Camps will pick you up from the airport.
