The best time to surf in Canggu is during the Dry Season (April-October), as swells increase and the water is warmest. Especially from May to September, when there are offshore winds, the conditions are great for all levels of surfers. The intermediate-friendly peaks at Canggu are especially good mid-tide, mostly on the lefties, as the peaks during the high and low tides are tricky with cuts off the beaches. The afternoon and dawn crowds are inevitable. Get some beers accompanied by reggae music on Batu Bolong, and you’ll be recharged for the evening to come!
