During your surf camp, you will be accommodated at Aliya Surf Resort. The resort is clean and comfortable and located just right in front of the beach. There is also a permanently shaded outdoor-dining and entertainment area. The resort is a great place to hang out and relax between surfing and meal time.

This area is equipped with a large screen TV and stereo where there is always music or a surfing movie playing. Each room is spacious, tastefully, and nicely decorated with surfing themes. Beds, pillows, mattresses, and sheets have been specially chosen for your comfort. Even though you do not want to spend much time sleeping, it will feel very good when you are.

For beginners, you are expected to position yourself and stand correctly on the board, be able to paddle, take the drop, stand on the surf board and riding waves, and be able to run. Aliya Surf Camp guarantees that you will be able to stand up and ride your first wave in the first hour.

Aliya Surf Camp's warm and welcoming professional instructors provide surf lessons that gently introduce the beginners to the basics of the board, so you will feel confident, secure, and safe. However, if you are a more experienced thrill-seeker, they provide the right level of challenge to help you brush up on your skills. Aliya Surf Camp teaches all levels of surfing in a fun and a safe environment.

This surf camp is located in the north east of Luzon facing the Pacific Ocean, Baler. It has a world renowned beach called Sabang that boasts of a very long beach break with different wave conditions that are perfect for both professional and beginner surfers.

There is also the Cemento Reef where the waves just suddenly strike like a cobra. As the heart of the Aurora province, Baler is also known as a tourist destination for diving, hiking, and trekking. Aliya Surf Camp wants to share the excitement and exhilaration that surfers around the world experience every day. You will be so stoked!

Driving directions from Manila

  • Enter the North Expressway at Balintawak and exit at Subic - Clark - Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX). The entry is at La Paz, Tarlac toll gate.
  • Follow the highway leading to Aliaga and to Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
  • Take the Nueva Ecija - Aurora highway and pass through the towns of Talavera, Rizal, and Pantabangan until you reach the Aurora border.
  • Go through the towns of Maria Aurora, San Luis, and finally Baler. Beware of wild zigzagging roads, fast trucks, and landslides during the rainy season.

Note: Please don't take the old road, the Baler Bongabong.

Arrival by bus

You can take Genesis Transport Bus. It provides the only direct route to Baler from Metro Manila. There are three trips a day which start at 4.30 a.m. till 7.30 a.m. The bus ride could take about six hours. A one-way fare costs 404 PHP. Its terminal is located along Epifanio de Los Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Pasay and Cubao. Alternatively, take any bus which goes to Cabanatuan. From there, take a public utility van heading to Baler at the terminal. The last trip of vans depends on numbers of passengers. The trip takes about 2.5 hours.
