Accommodation

You will stay at Kite House Lagos which features a pool, barbeque area, a big garden with trampolines, and outside multi-sport courts. In the Barraka Bar, you can have a cold beer or cocktail while having complimentary Wi-Fi, watching TV, playing table pool, or backgammon. The new Kite House is not a wild party house, but you are still only minutes away from the night action in the center of Lagos with all the pubs, clubs, restaurants, and street life.

The rooms

The camp house has double rooms and dorm rooms consisting of six to seven beds. Right in front of the pool, the camp also owns bungalows with private entrances, lounges, bathrooms, and separate bedrooms. This is a perfect place for families and guests looking for privacy.

Program

Learn the basics with the easy-to-use equipment and highly experienced windsurf instructors. From your first introduction to riding downwind and upwind, tacking, jibing, and riding with the harness, they strive to help you achieve your goals. You will spend up to three hours a day on the water. Before each lesson, you will learn how to set up your equipment and be advised of what gear you will need for the conditions.

The unique and up-to-date teaching methods are individually tailored for each student. You will have a chance to focus on maneuvers that you like the most or on elements that still need improvement. Depending on the wind conditions and the level of students, the instructors can pick the best time of the day to make your lesson. Lighter wind in the morning or stronger blows in the afternoon can be picked together.

Location

You will have your windsurf lesson at the lagoon on the Odiáxere River, located between Lagos and Alvor. The lagoon offers ideal conditions to learn and practice windsurfing in the Algarve. The Nortada wind from the north is accelerated by the Serra de Monchique before reaching the water of the lagoon. This warm and strong wind allows you to learn new maneuvers quickly and allows for consistent improvement of your windsurfing skills.

Being located in a quiet area of Lagos above the famous Meia Praia Beach, this location is pretty well-known as the party capital of the Algarve. The young and crazy scenes come from all over the world where Aussies, Kiwis, Canadians, and Europeans have a party until dawn. The location of the surf camp is 75 minutes from Faro Airport (FAO).
