Absolutely fabulous, place is so peaceful and quite. I felt there like on different planet. The greatest place for those who need some rest from big cities and rushing.

Wonderful people make this place special as well. Romantic, rustically and very Portuguese. Thanks for hosting us I wish I could return. Obrigada:)

We stayed in a large house with the two of us, so had a lovely outside terrace with magnificent view and lots of space inside, but its especially the extremely friendly staff and delicious food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) that we remember the most and that really charmed us.

To get a flavor of life in a small old Portuguese village, stay in Pedralva, a very relaxing place. Basic houses, but they have everything you need and they have a small kitchen should you wish to cook. There is also a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, and there is a pizzeria, which is open a couple of days a week. The village is pretty remote so you do need a car (free parking) but this area is a lot more quiet than Algarve and more beautiful! I really should not write this review as Pedralva is supposed not to lose it's rural and relaxing character.

If you are looking for a place to stay in this coast, you should consider this hotel or village. Very traditional, close to the coast yet very calm and relaxing place. Here, you should disconnect. This is the place for that!

We stayed here for a week in August 2015 with our two children aged 19 and 22. It was perfect. The village has a nice bar area for a late evening drink and a great restaurant for lunch and evening. It also has a busy and good pizza restaurant. I would thoroughly recommend renting their mountain bikes for the day and taking the path they suggested through the national park area to the coast and back. We're not mountain bike experts but we really enjoyed the scenery and the day. We also took surf lessons one day at Praia do Amado which was great and a number of the other local beaches also rent surf boards and give lessons. We also went sea kayaking through the caves at Lagos which was beautiful but a little too busy with tourist boats getting in the way. But the best thing about Aldeia da Pedralva was the friendliness of the staff. They really did make the holiday special. Their recommendations to restaurants out of the way meant we had some of the best, freshest (and cheapest) fish meals I've ever tasted and recommendations to some superb beaches meant we had miles of beautiful beaches to ourselves. A huge thank you to Sonia and all the staff. In summary, if you want to taste the real Portugal with stunning quiet beaches, great food. and lovely countryside come here. If you want nightclubs, shopping, and busy cocktail bars - go the parts of the Algarve the other tourist brochures will recommend.

I did not stay here, but visited the village twice during my holiday for lunch. The restaurant was excellent, beautiful food, very relaxing and lovely surroundings. This is a vey quaint and quirky village that is well worth a visit.
