Take advantage of the great conditions the Mediterranean Sea offers to enjoy kitesurf while you learn Spanish by an Instituto Cervantes accredited language school in Spain. Valencia is the perfect place to practice this awesome discipline due to its constant winds, that’s why it was chosen to host both 2007 and 2010 America's Cup editions. To get started in such course you do not need a special physical form. It is an unforgettable experience with AIP Languages in Valencia!
You will stay for 14 days with a host family in Valencia, with half board (breakfast and dinner). Staying with a host family is the best option if you are looking for direct contact with Spanish customs and culture and / or practice the language as much as possible since you can spend time with the host family. Electricity, gas, water, and weekly laundry expenses are included.
The host families have AIP Languages in Valencia's abiding trust. AIP Languages in Valencia has collaborated with them for many years. You will feel welcomed and comfortable since the Spanish culture is very warm and hospitable. The host families are friendly and open, but do not expect them to speak English. Most of the ladies only speak Spanish.
There is also another accommodation option, in a shared apartment. You will have a single room in the apartment and you will share the common areas, like kitchen, living room, and bathroom. You are responsible for keeping said areas clean and buying food / groceries. Also, you are in charge of buying the necessary cleaning products, toilet paper, washing-up liquid, etc., which you will all share. For this option, the meals are not included and you will have to provide them for yourself.
AIP Languages have learned from experience that students often build good relations with their fellow roommates, probably developing a long-lasting relationship, especially when it comes to long-term stays.
During this surf camp, you will have 10 days of Spanish classes in the morning and six to eight days of kite surf course in the afternoon. The classes are held in the afternoon, anytime from 15:00 to 19:00. The final schedules will be confirmed during the first day of Spanish lessons.
Kite surfing, also known as kiteboarding or flysurfing, is a form of navigation on a board pulled by a kite. This combination enables high speeds on the water and results in spectacular acrobatics. To get started in such course you do not need a special physical form. Groups do not have more than three people and are easy to adapt to the student’s necessities. It is an unforgettable experience!
While in these courses, you will discover the full potential of the wind by using the kite power to body drag in all directions, water relaunch, becoming proficient when you finally end up riding on your own! Your certified instructor will teach you how to manage all equipment, set up and training kite control as this course introduces you to one of the most amazing water sports. Are you ready to get wet? Spanish Language School in Spain students will receive an International IKO (International Kitesurfing Organization) certificate at the end of the course indicating the level acquired.
Apart from the kite surf course, here are many exciting activities organized every week. At least three per week!
This retreat will take place in Marina Real Juan Carlos I, Valencia, Spain. Valencia is situated in the center of the east coast of Spain and is one of the best places to learn Spanish in Spain. It is a cosmopolitan open city with a population of about one million, making it the third largest city after Madrid and Barcelona.
The city of Valencia has one of Europe’s largest intact historic centers and is enriched with countless gardens (the Turia old riverbed now transformed into a 9-kilometer long garden), marvelous beaches (which can be enjoyed for 9 months a year), and a world famous cuisine (Valencian specialities: paella valenciana and horchata).
On this surf camp, you will be offered daily breakfast and dinner. Also, if you choose to stay in a shared apartment, no meals will be included in the price and you will have to provide them for yourself.
